Don't do that shit. Get two bricklayer and 5 labours to do a daily job and they must finish it for you . Labour earns 10k while bricklayer earns 15k

He's actually the one that'll do the job.. Certain Circumstances won't allow me to use another person and he knows that.. That's why i want to knw the current cost so I'll know if he has really stepped out of line.

the only way you will know this is by bargaining with other bricklayers around your community. But, how much will pay to those bricklayers just to get quotations? It ain't free you know (especially when the bricklayer understands that you want to get price, but not giving him the job.

Yes i understand, but dealing with this my bricklayer, i just have to have an idea.. The guy knows how to take advantage of one's ignorance.

He told me he charges 200k just to lay 1 block. Says bricklayer 12k, labour 8k. He didn't know i know they charge 10k for bricklayer, 5k for labour. Which is 150k contrary to the initial 200k he mentioned.

that was why i said it depends on ur location...i work as a site engineer...we pay bricklayers 12k to 15k at times and labour gets 7k and if the work is casting, labour charges 10k for it...the tougher the job the higher the payment for labourers but for bricklayers they go home with 12k and sometimes 15k..


The money just get heavy digit....remove transport and feeding then you go know whatsup.
That's why i said u should try and have a good conversation with him...don't let him cheat you and at the same time don't cheat him too.....let it be a win win situation nd u all go home happily.

talk to him to reduce the price for you....that digging depends on the soil formation and how big you want the house to be. The blinding is worth the amount, short pillers(do you mean the casting or the wood nd iron?).
Filling is worth the amount
Rammers, depends on the type they want to use.some cost 40k truly.
German floor is worth the 150k.
With the high rate of things in the country, just talk to him to reduce some for you but what he wrote is totally right o

No try am say u wan charge digging 100k now for this country o...u will regret it....the price labour charge for digging is way far from what they collect for casting....15k per labour, let's say 5 labours for a day job...if the work no finish nko depending on the size of the building..

Which side of ikorodu cos I have project currently going on there now.ay gbaga ijede road. Why not get a qualified person to help you out. Stop doing things yourself. Artisans are not professionals. Don't burn your fingers . Everyone has his or her own field . Get an engineer and one architect to help you out. It's not as expensive as you think. If labsca comes to your site ana discovers that you do t have the professional guys they will bill you something.

However this is my view about it. Sorry for taking too long

You're welcome bro, which side is your site. Private chat me and let's talk. Baba kabiru should not be in charge of such site. If you can afford to use close to 6million in approval and design alone , nothing should stop you from getting a professional building expert like an experience architect , qualified engineer or a builder. It's is cheaper than an collapsed building
