maryini:Yes...........He will get a job in Canada, but I am sure the ultimate goal is PR and eventually citizenship. Then, in the long run, he can go back to Nigeria and maybe manage the family-owned petroleum business. Anyway, yes, he can get a job, but the kind of job he gets will depend on his personal skills, his experience, and how well he can apply those skills in Canada....Please tell him to read about capital market if he understand capital market he will have an upper hand they have alot of job oppotunity for New MBA grads in capital Market expecally RBC capital market Jobs An MBA does not automatically guarantee you a good job. It helps, but at the end of the day, you still need the right skills and someone willing to pay you for them just make sure he does even tho its 4 months intership/ Co-op during his program that will help Most of the in-demand skill sets Canada has mentioned they are looking for are listed below https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/rounds-invitations/category-based-selection.html One thing I always ask people is: if you are not likely to be in one of the in-demand occupations, French or skill sets and you normally have a lower CRS score, calculate your CRS properly. If you look at your numbers and realize that even after working for 2 years in Canada, getting a Canadian degree, and gaining Canadian work experience, you are still nowhere close to 500 points, then you might need to rethink the whole plan. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html This country can get frustrating if you don't plan properly. There are people currently sitting endlessly in the Express Entry pool, waiting for a miracle. Yes, he can get a job. RBC https://jobs.rbc.com/ca/en/students-graduates-co-ops-internshipse KPMG https://kpmg.com/ca/en/careers/students/student-programs/summer-internship-program.html and Some consulting firms, for example, usually gives MBA holders opportunities for internships, and from there he can grow his career. But he should have it at the back of his mind that even after schooling and working for 2 years in Canada, if he still cannot get close to 500 CRS points, he should start looking at all available options. So yes, he can get a job if he works hard and looks seriously for one. But beyond getting the job, he needs to plan very well for the PR part.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone on this platform for doing great job in transferring knowledge to those who need it. As I said earlier, I've differed my admission to next year fall. I want to start my study permit processing as early as possible probably November this year because of the uncertainty in the IRCC response time. I want to start building my pof account so that I can have the 6 month statement and startmy application by May next year. This area of POF has been given me seriously concern because I don't know where to start from. I want to relocate with my husband and my two kids and having made a tuition deposit of CAD 6k. I know how much I need for the pof according to the information I got from IRCC website. My questions are: 1. When exactly do I have to make the deposit for the lump sum, is it at the Beginning of the six month statement or few months to my application? 2. I have a brother in US and also a sister in UK. Can I also use their accounts for pof? Or can I my in-laws ' account? 3. My program is 2yrs. The total amount payable for the first year including accommodation is 30k CAD for the whole year it's 49k CAD. Which of these amounts will I use for my pof? 4. The accommodation the suggested to me is a shared apartment with other students which can not work out for me as a family person. Do I have to calculate my pof with this accommodation fee too since I don't want it but the school has already calculated it together with my aggregate fee? |

the 4 to 6-month statement window, rather than right before applying. IRCC strictly scrutinizes bank histories to detect borrowed money, and a sudden, unexplained deposit a few months before your application is a major red flag that frequently leads to study permit refusal rightminds: |

rightminds:Hmm, this is a lot to say, and if I comment with the truth, some people’s blood will boil. But in summary, if you do not have the money to travel abroad, do not set yourself and your family up for failure. 1. Stop putting unexplained lump sums into your account. It doesn't matter whether it is at the beginning of the 6-month statement or 2 months before application. You must be able to explain where the money came from with paper work on how the money was made 2. Your brother or sister is usually easier to explain than an in-law. IRCC can simply ask: “Why is your in-law sponsoring you?” That question is easier to answer when it is your direct family member. But your sibling cannot just send you a bank statement and call it sponsorship. They have to show where the money came from and that supporting you is financially realistic for them. Depending on the circumstances, this could include 2–3 years of tax returns, employment letter, proof of income, bank statements, ID, proof that they are actually your family member, and a statement explaining why they are sponsoring you. They also need to show that sponsoring you will not leave them financially broke.. 3. POF for husband and 2 kids so basically 4 people thats minimum pof should cover: Tuition for your entire program (even if it is a 2-year program) + $43,572 for living expenses for 4 people + $3,000–$5,000 for miscellaneous expenses. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents/financial-support.html 4. If you don't mind me asking, what school is this that is suggesting a shared apartment with other students? You do not need to stay on campus or any suggested shared apartment. I would not automatically go with the accommodation the school is pushing. You have other accommodation options, including renting off campus.

Nozino:Posting here or not, IRCC knows it all. The funny thing is that IRCC knows all these tricks people play when showing that they have money as POF, even when they actually borrowed the money just to put it in their account. IRCC knows the different money tricks people use. They are not new in this game. I pray that people who play these games don't meet an officer who has no patience and decides to take the matter seriously. You could end up with a 5-year ban. I might sound harsh, but it is the truth: if you don't have the money, don't claim that you have the money. If an officer has concerns about a large lump sum or unexplained money in your account, they can ask you to explain where the money came from and provide supporting documents by sending you a LOE to reply in 15 to 30 days Don't assume that because the money is sitting in your account, IRCC will automatically accept it as genuine proof of funds Some officers that dont have time to send you a LOE will just refuse the application if they are not satisfied which most do... But the one that does will just send LOE and if they are not satified its 5 years ban ooo as they will call it suspect misrepresentation and determine that false or misleading information. Don't play Russian roulette with your future just because you want to show POF. If you don't have the money, don't claim you have it. If someone gives you money, be honest about where it came from and document it properly Cc rightminds https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/transparency/committees/cimm-apr-20-2026/oag-report.html https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/transparency/transition-binders/minister-2025-03/visa-integrity.html

dsureguy:See, I have enough stories to last for days, but I won’t let this drag. Anyone who wants to do anything can do so. Just pray that the worst thing that happens is that a visa officer rejects your application. Otherwise, you could spend your time writing an LOE, only to end up with a 5-year ban. A 5-year ban on a visa application is BAD ooo. A simple visa refusal for lack of funds is much better than a 5-year ban that you will have to explain on every future visa application, even if you are applying to another country. And imagine the 5-year ban was because of unexplained lump-sum funds in your account that the officer considered fraudulent. That thing can follow you forever. I talk too much, so people think I’m crazy hahahaha. |

rightminds:I wanted to type my usual stuff, but something at the back of my mind told me you have already made up your mind. PLEASE be careful with POF stuff I take God beg you If it were up to me, I would suggest another option, but it’s your decision. If you do not have enough money to comfortably carry a family of 4, why not go alone, settle first, and then bring your family over? That is also a good option. It is VERY hard in 2026 to see a family of 4 coming to Canada together on a student visa. And if you see they are not telling you the truth the full truth they came with Vistors visa and are on asylum which that one is bad already anyways Maybe in 2023, when Canada was dealing with 682,889 study permit holders/applications, the situation was different. But in 2026, the number has been reduced to around 229,000 new study permits, and for Master’s students, only about 49,000 spots are allocated. So basically, you are fighting for those 49,000 spots, and that number might be even lower in 2027. On top of that, you may want to add more family members, who will also be attached to your student visa and add to the overall assessment. Well, nothing is impossible with God, but I am also presenting you with the numbers so you can see the situation clearly. Watch this girl's channel. She came to Canada through school and later got PR. Her husband and child are now also in Canada Remember no part way is easy all the best https://www.youtube.com/@winifredkal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07yrKc6km-Y?si=3eRXR4ykzyG0B702 https://immigrationstatistics.ca/

Good day everyone, Please how long does it take to get Letter of Introduction on my portal after receiving my stamped passport? I’m yet to see that update on my portal. Due to this I can’t book my flight to leave the country as soon as possible. Is there anything I can do from my end? Thanks again for your continuous support. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Nobody: 12:34pm On Sep 21 |
A Letter of Introduction usually appears on your IRCC portal within 1 to 5 business days after your application is approved, but system delays can sometimes cause it to lag behind your physical passport return godsplan001: |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 8:18pm On Sep 21 |
Great1tech:The beauty of the officer’s notes is that they literally told you what you did wrong. Now ask yourself the serious question: What did I do wrong, and how do I fix it? The officer mentioned lump sum, previous low balance and limited evidence of the source of funds. My question is 1. How much was your tuition? 2. How many years was the program? 3. Were you travelling alone? 4. How did you get the POF? 5. How much was it? 6. Where exactly did the money come from? 7. What job or business generated it? 8. If it came from a sponsor, can the sponsor prove where the money came from? The officer actually gave you a chance. You got a refusal, not a 5-year ban... Take the lesson and fix the problem. Somebody said try another country. Try UK, Finland,Ireland Norway, Australia, Germany, USA no problem. But if you still cannot explain and document where your POF came from, you are only carrying the same problem from one embassy to another Visa officers are not only asking Do you have money? They also want to know Where did this money come from? Changing country will not magically change your source of funds. |

Lumpsum with history of previous low balance is already a red flag for any country Large sum of amount that is not connected to a business with documents to show that the business is real is a big red flag |

I was denied first visa because I didn't have sufficient funds on my own side to transport and sustain myself in Canada. I want to meet my bank so that they can fund my account and place a lien on it which I will use as secondary POF, My question is, Will IRCC accept it as POF, will they question the source of funds? My Primary POF is from my inlaw who is my main sponsor who resides in Canada and had funded my GIC account and Student Chequeing account with CAD40,000. I have also paid tuition deposit of CAD10,000 out of the CAD23,000 tuition fee. |

Great1tech:The last Visa Officer who issued this note really gave you nice expo about your re-application. Dont look at any other country. Re apply for Sept 2027 intake in order to give time for the re organisation of the deposit logs on your bank statement and follow only the correction of the excuses on your ODN. Dont be in a haste to apply for any other short intake than Sept 2027. |
