U17 stars with the U20 team that will join this Flamingoes side ahead of the FIFA U17 WWC:

- Rafiu Tosin, CM
- Queen Joseph, FW
- Precious Oscar, Winger/FW
- *Jane Ijirigho, GK

The Akeem Busari team will be explosive at the World Cup.

I just need the final infinity stone in Kindness Ifeanyi to be fit and ready too as well.

I'd rather this not be the case. That is 4 potential roster spots that should go to someone else. They just participated in the u20 world cup and that should suffice in my opinion. The goal of the age grade teams remains to give exposure to as much potential talents we can muster as possible, winning is secondary.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 5:40pm On Sep 21
I understand what the primary objective is but then when they fail to win, this thread cries.

The U20s lost yesterday and I saw the reactions despite the obvious display of solid talents in that team. They just got terribly unlucky.

For this U17s, targeting both further exposure and winning is not a bad combo.

The trade off isn't worth it in my opinion. Fan reaction shouldn't be consequential enough to shift from the primary issue goal. All of the players mentioned are great potentials that have already been given more than their fair share of exposure. Roster spots aren't infinite and the mere thought that including them could potentially exclude the next big thing in women's football isn't worth it to me. I also happen to think the current u17 squad has enough in it to do really well at the world stage without their inclusion.

We'll see what happens though.

Relax. There is literally another U17 WWC next year and every year till 2029. Lots of opportunities to see more talents.

That girl is a super star in the making; lightning speed, good dribbles, good shooter and attacking minded
I pray she falls into the hands of a coach that will bring the best out of her
She's a delight to watch, yesterday the french and english commentators couldn't stop shouting "kemi adegbuyi" cheesy

The 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup takes place in Morocco 17 October – 7 November 2026
With Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Zambia representing Africa.
So i guess WAFU B U17 Girls Cup 2026 will just serve as a warm up of sorts for us?
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:01pm On Sep 22
It is a warmup but more than that it is serving as Qualifiers ahead of the first ever CAF U17 Women's Wafcon coming up in 2027.

Yes, and this is the starting XI for the clash.

Make it 4/4 wins today and it will set up a titanic final Matchday clash between Ghana and CIV for the 2nd spot.
