Tinubu Has Redefined Infrastructure Delivery In FCT - Wike by shrinkchido(op): 7:56pm On Sep 23
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has said that the administration of President Bola Tinubu, has fundamentally redefined infrastructure development across the nation’s capital.

Wike made the remarks on Wednesday in Abuja, while addressing newsmen after he inspected some ongoing road projects designed to de-congest traffic and unlock development across the territory.

The minister inspected the ongoing construction of Arterial Road SI, from Ring Road II to Arterial Road S20 (Oladipo Diya Way) in Kaura District and Collector Road C2 in Life Camp to Arterial Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo Way).

He also inspected the ongoing construction of Arterial Road N16 from Ring Road II to Ring Road III and the Jereton Mariere Street by the Apo Legislative Quarters in Gudu District, as well as the ongoing remodeling and renovation of the IBB Golf Course.

“We are happy because we can see that the administration of President Bola Tinubu has redefined infrastructure as far as the FCT is concern,” Wike said.

Expressing satisfaction with the pace of work and quality of execution, the minister said that the administration remained on track to deliver the projects ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He particularly expressed optimism that the Arterial Road N16 would be completed as scheduled, in spite of the complex terrain and heavy bridge construction on the road corridor.

He noted that in spite of the difficult geography, the firm guaranteed delivery by the first week of January.

“If that N16 job is completed, obviously, the entire area will be a different thing altogether. That is a very huge infrastructure landmark,” he said.

Speaking on the renovation of the IBB Golf Course, the minister reaffirmed that the club would be fully operational and ready to host major tournaments by November.

Addressing financial backings for the ongoing projects, Wike said that the 2026 capital budget had hit 60 per cent performance.

He added that in spite of initial delays in budget release that briefly affected contractor payments, funding flow had stabilised, enabling contractors to work at full capacity.

He dismissed political rhetoric ahead of the upcoming election cycle, while advising political office seekers to focus on presenting their records to voters rather than engaging in distractions.

With Wike's outstanding performance in the FCT, especially taking development to the indigenous population, President Tinubu will win the territory convincingly.

Wike the Mr Project ✅
History will remember you for your infrastructure development in the FCT.

The speed at which the quality projects are completed is commendable.Kuje road is now very sweet to drive.

I still remember how you constructed 12 flyovers in four years in Rivers State using Julius Berger and paid them 100% before leaving office. People in Port Harcourt are now enjoying them daily. Smooth traffic flow even during closing hours.

Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State constructed only one flyover in their State for 8 years and looted their State dry.

When is the balablu bulaba clueless town hall clown of fake promises and ofege announcements going to redefine petrol prices as he promised to crash below N185?

Is that not more important than these oyoyo projects that can't be used to pay for expensive petrol? Abi how many pictures of projects are required to pay for N1,350 petrol?

Deltafirstson:
Although the pump price of fuel was N197 when President Bola Tinubu took over on May 29, 2023, the product now sells for N617 per litre – less than two months after.

In his inaugural address, Tinubu announced that subsidy was gone, fulfilling a promise that all leading presidential candidates made during the campaign.

Nigerians have been lamenting the hardship occasioned by fuel price hike. Amid the lamentation, a video where Tinubu campaigned to slash the price of fuel went into circulation.

Checks by Daily Trust affirmed the authenticity of the video uploaded on the YouTube page of Channels Television.

At his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on January 25, 2023, Tinubu spoke on a number of issues, but those of fuel scarcity and naira redesign made the headlines.

However, Tinubu who spoke in Yoruba language, also assured the crowd that though people were saying petrol price would hit N200, it would be reviewed downward under him.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.

Why are you mixing up projects with policy?

What did Wike achieve in basic education policy as governor for eight years and as a former education minister?
Did he employ as many as 19,500 teachers that Makinde did in just five years?
What was the public schools enrolment numbers before and after he was governor?

Wike, you cant please people from a certain region, infact if you drop dead today, they will carry drum and be celebrating because of their vile nature. Continue to do your best in Abuja in as much it will impact the lives of the residents. Even in advanced countries, people have diverse opinions about govt policies and performance, so dont bother about their hatred. I know you are also not perfect just like everyone of us including those attacking you and Tinubu, but do your best and leave the rest.

Inadequate transport infrastructure; dilapidated infrastructure in state-owned primary and secondary schools; inadequate healthcare facilities; and the absence of a central waste disposal system and pipe-borne water supply.

No he didn't because the person that had focused on Education was Amaechi. So there was no need for Wike to do anything rather than to add to the existing. ..

Every school in River State is called Amaechi school.
Because of the contribution Amaechi did.
