Ojagun:List the damages caused by past military governments and we'll list greater damages caused by civilian governments. No government system is perfect but some are worse than others.Africa is too corrupt and undeveloped to be practicing democracy.. A people that are yet to jettison tribal sentiments have no business with democracy as demographics will always decide elections and not merit |

They are also changing their curriculum, replacing some of the colonial terms. Who is bringing that news to Nairaland? |

Burkina Faso is just using content creator to make things up. Look at the Road but they will tell us the place look like Dubai. I remember some of them going to the country and asking to see most of the stuff on social media..they did not take them.Who is fooling who? Some of the videos on Youtube are AI-generated by their Russian Friends. No one can critic the Government. Go on Youtube, watch with open minds and if you think it is better, move there LOL ![]() yomisams: |

Since Fashola era. Try to appreciate your own country. Why will you compare Nigeria with Burkina faso for God's sake |

abysirius:If Senegal, Burkina, and maybe the Benin Republic had the amount of resources and revenue that Nigeria has.... Obobi... Half of Nigeria would have relocated to these countries. I'm not capping..! One thing I admire about these countries is THAT they have a FUNCTIONING SYSTEM. It might not be sophisticated, but their system is freaking efficient. I'm talking about political, economic, power, security, and the rule of law. For instance, Nigeria's economy is 10 times that of Senegal, but mehn... Just forget! These guys are like abokis, but they know what they're doing. Another thing about them is that, they don't make noise. They're just there silently living their lives. |

ksauthenticoi:On the contrary military regimes itself tolerated less bullshìt, tolerated way less corruption.. Many things that average Joe would will blab about currently, less and less happened during the military regime.. military leaders traveled less frequently out of the country, but let me no call names have been out of the country about 1/3 of their tenure. Military government borrowed less (if any), compared to politicians that tout democracy, they borrowed money, then loot the borrowed money via many channels.. typically a white elephant projects. Now, I am not campaigning for a military regime as they were not perfect either. But it is good to state facts. |

Racoon:Perhaps he copied this from Lagos state. Lagos is already ahead for more than ten years with BRT but some miscreants planned to destroyed it some years ago but God pass them. Lagos is now even ahead with blue rail line. |

A country that has recently gotten its act right unlike ours that is 66 years old and retrogressing. Liters of fuel minimum wage can buy Nigeria 52.0L Burkina faso 52.9L Liters of diesel Nigeria 38.7L Burkina faso 60L Life expectancy Burkina faso 61.3 years. 160th position in world ranking. Nigeria 54.6 years and last position in world ranking. Every country is moving ahead, yesterday we analyzed Benin republic and saw how far they have progressed and left us behind. 1K naira in 2012 could get you 3500cfa. Today 2026, that same 1k will get you 350cfa! |

Guestmale:Oga with the money Lagos state generates in your truthful opinion is it signifying it's potentials? Drive around the expensive areas or better still watch on YouTube, do those streets in lekki look like a place that Burkina faso guy will come and copy or learn from? A friend told me of a south african paddy of his that came visiting, the guy said he should show him where the rich folks live, he drove him around VI, the SA guy said it cannot be, how can rich areas have open gutters? Except you are not truthful to yourself the place is almost a slum and this observation is made in good faith devoid of malice, but rather hoping things could be better. |

yomisams:Democracy is not good for Nigeria. The truth is that no system of government is good for Nigeria as a country because we, the people, are very terrible human beings. The two things on our minds or on the minds of average Nigerians, both citizens and government officials, are crime and money, rather than how to move the country forward and improve the lives of others. |

This is just a one of many projects in a single state in nigeria not as a country. Sure p, LagBus, BRT etc depending on state since far back 2012 or before.
