Hello! So I grew up Christian (I know, I know, born again is different and it's not by birth) and I've always believed the Bible as true, but things have started to make me question some things.

I decided to read the Bible from start to finish to maybe get some answers and clear my doubts or maybe even confirm my doubts.

I started with Genesis today, and I have a question... What makes the Genesis story different from other creation stories? I don't know every creation story, but I think there are some that believe the world started from an egg that broke and some parts became sky and other parts became land. I'm sure the Yoruba and Igbo people have their own story of how the world started.

Why should I reject those other stories but accept the one in Genesis?

Genesis== Generation of Isis ..
I can list them all

Jesus= Christianity - Rome
Zeus = Greece.
Shiva = INdian
Etc same sacrificially story.
Igbo - mazi Nnamdi Kalu 😁😁
Each empires all had same story

Genesis is a derivative of the Hebrew word (Bereishit)

The creation story you read in most written scriptures are adapted from other people's oral stories. No one has ever met the creator or how he works and what he wants.

The Bible is not begging you to accept it's report however, if your are thinking well, you would see that the Bible's report is falltless which is why rather than pointing out any fallsness you find, which you did not find, you are now placing a burden on the Bible to prove why you should accept it against other reports that do not even stand.

The Bible is not begging you to accept go. In fact leave it alone and go and live according to your preference

There is no smoke without fire. If they did not meet The Creator, they wouldn't have a need to give reports of their meetings

Why are there several creator story and not a singular unified creator story?

Check all the stories yourself and you'll find out the creators in each has one or more limitation(s). A creator should have no limitations!

So I take it that you believe the Bible's creation claim is true just because then. Just like you would believe the Koran's creation claim just because, if you were born in Saudi Arabia?

If earth was dark and formless from the get go, and God created light immediately, and then created the sun and moon on the 4th day, how were they calculating the days and nights of creation before the sun was created on Day 4?

In fact, God said the purpose of creating the sun ON DAY 4, was so that we can calculate days and times and seasons.

So what was the source of light from the Day 1, and how were they counting the days of creation before Day 4?

Are you kidding me? Have you forgotten that people lie and tell tales and twist tales for different purposes?

Even in your family, are there not several reports over a matter? Even in a matter you were present, yet you heard a different report from what you yourself saw with your own eyes.

They are actual days which must be reckoned with since man would surely want to know when and how this house called world, began. However, no human can count and take stock of the days, months and years before they were created, since they were not in existence in those days and therefore were not there. Not to talk of the days, months and years that would pass before they now observe that the days have a pattern of day and night.

So an an accurate and True report of the beginning can only come from a Person Who is not human, Who was there and can be there at the beginning.

And that is why God and the Bible's report beats every other report out there
