Imagine Calling up an Ijamilusi ahead of Chioma Okafor 🙄🤦‍♂️

Ijamilusi is not that winger at all… Her Lucky Charm is off since after that WAFCON win..
Ijamilusi seems to have woken up though..!

Ucheibe with the 5th goal. Great game overall so far.

Meanwhile, the female commentator is superbly amazing.

They will be angry and in pain because she’s one of their key player…

No Club will be happy her top player is coming back with injury from her National Team
So PSG don't know injuries are part football? Or will they be the first team to have a player injured? Osimhen got injured with us and we didn't hear a word from gala.

Uchenna Kanu with the 2nd and 3rd goals. 3 - 0, Both assists from Ijamulusi.

Lets celebrate the girls and the Coach and stop throwing tantrums over your favourite foreign born kid not being invited.

Blessing Okpe dribbles in and squares the ball to Payne. Toni Payne with her second too. 4 - 0.
---------------
Ok Kanu's 2nd goal cancelled. So 3- 0
1st goal, Kanu steals ball from keeper and square for Payne to shoot
2nd goal Ijamulusi cross for Kanu to head in
3rd goal Blessing Okpe dribbles in and squares the ball to Payne.
4th goal Another Ijamulusi cross for Kanu to head in
5th goal Blessing Okpe fouled and Ucheibe scores the penalty.

I would really like Egu to bring in the last 3 subs. Game is already won and lost.

My girl has come on!!! I just love Shaki Moshood.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 5:54pm On Oct 13
I have been impressed by Blessing Okpe, I don't think Joy has done badly. Suliat is doing well. Shaki has unfortunately been struggling, debut, am sure she can only get better.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 7:40pm On Oct 13
But who suffers the most because of her playing for Nigeria?

Who will be saddled with her medical bills?
Who suffers 'lose of use' the most, considering the different club obligations - Champions league, French Cup and French Championnat commitments?
Who will continue to pay her remunerations, in spite of the fact that she will be on a recovery bed and not out there on the field playing for the club due to injury?

Certainly, not a National team named Nigeria.
That's why PSG will be pissed and deservedly so.

Baba why are you like this na?

You react like a significant number of folks here hate the team, or at least some players in the team. It's typical in sports for fans to complain when their team isn't doing well. It's almost always a prove of their love for the team.

Just as I'm writing this, I remembered Shooting Stars of Ibadan and the insane outrage of their fanbase to their recent performance. The club even had to release a statement days ago to that effect as some have sadly threatened physical violence because of poor performance. However way you feel about the aforementioned, one thing you can't deny is that the fans love their team.

So please allow people criticise the team however bad faith you think it is. None of the criticisms I've read so far have been out of place. For example, Ijamilusi objectively didn't have a great start to the game, and if course had a terrible outing in the first game. She however grew into the game and was one of the better players in the second half. The live criticisms weren't wrong or out of place, but she thankfully delivered.

I have options on both games, but decided against typing it as some may misconstrue it as undue criticism particularly when the team won 7-0 on aggregate. But a high scoring game against a developing team like Comoros doesn't tell the whole story. When I watch the falcons for example, I don't necessarily only see what's happening on the pitch, but seeing how it translates when they face a more structured and better team. I could still see some of the challenges we faced at the AFCON rear its head even though the overall game play was obviously way better (Which isn't surprising if you know how Eguavon historically sets up his team to play).

Long story short, please allow people vent. I promise you they don't hate the team. Some may not necessarily like certain players for the team (for example I don't think Ogbonna is Super Falcons material and I'm obviously not carried away with these 2 game), but it doesn't mean they hate the team.

As a fellow suuting stars fan I must like you. Anyways I was just shopping for trouble ni. Wahala dey sweet sometimes.
On a serious note, while we vent, if there are any positives we can bring out, I believe we should also discuss it. For instance, like you rightly said, Ijamilusi started poorly but her final balls were amazing and she got 3 assists (including the cancelled goal). I would also think we can debate on the performance of the new girls that got some minutes too.
So what do you think of Blessing Okpe, Joy Igbokwe and Shakirat Moshood's performance? I will say Shakirat struggled but she can be forgiven as it was the first game.

I don't see it necessary to talk about the veterans.

How many national teams pay medical bills? Don't be dramatic. Instead of worrying about the player, u are telling me about a billion dollar club.

Guys, should we be worried JOE no longer shows her blazing side for the team? Is she playing safe? Im pissed at how Rash situation was handled. Tueh.

Take your mediocre mentality and shove it where the sun dont shine. By now we should be rubbing shoulders with the likes of USA and Spain and winning Women world cups. Instead you are here twerking for Egu and Danjuma because we beat Comoros. Rubbish. People like you make me sick. angry angry angry angry

I hope the NFF have leant their lessons and Eguavoen will be actually be directed to put it to use.
Barest minimum is to have another international team over a 2 leg friendly.

I think now is the time for the NFF to appoint a substantive coach for the team. The November window could be used to get the manager work with the girls if possible. Eguavoen and his team showed gross ineptitude by inviting Kemi who was expected to be at the U17 World Cup to the team. If people on this forum knew, how did they not know? What else about the players is it that they don't know?

Good highlight. She appears skilful, can shoot and confident. She showed confidence against Comoros, however, that was Comoros and the league is still Belarus, she needs to move to a higher level. That said, I see potential and time will tell.

Not good news for Nigeria SuperFalcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade
Sources say her MRI came back showing a fracture around her ankle.
Could be out for a while. Wishing her very quick recovery

...this was what i feared yesterday, when i saw that follow through from the Comoros player, that might be 3-6 months before she fully recovers...

I hope Ajibade does not have a broken ankle, it seems that the follow through of that Comoros player is what caused the injury.. Hopefully it is just a sprain..
....Sad much, no player should ever have to go through that...
