Sad, but not surprised that it seems to be a fractured ankle, as that lady landed hard on Rash’s foot. What’s even more sad is the fact that she just came back from injury and seemed to be hitting stride with PSG. That might end up being up a season ending injury for her. Wishing her a complete and speedy recovery ❤️🩹 Schemerkhiz: |

The France women's team will continue its preparation for the 2027 World Cup with two new friendly matches: 🇻🇪 November 27: France – Venezuela (42nd FIFA) in Nancy. 🇲🇦 December 5: France – Morocco (64th FIFA) in Sochaux. A third match is also scheduled for December 1 against an opponent yet to be announced. Three final matches before the start of the 2027 Nations League in February. |

Meanwhile… Nigeria is still ‘celebrating’ it win against a Comoros side that is ranked in the lower quartile of world football. While Morocco is planning ahead, Nigeria and it’s illiterate football leaders are still farting around, waiting till the last minute and will miss the opportunity to do something meaningful this next FIFA window next month. AkinDS:We don't even have an NFF now. We are on a long thing. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 10:54pm On Oct 14 |
AndSunGorilla:You don’t know her before now? She was among the Blessing Demehin U20 set na, she won us the PK against Canada 🇨🇦, with her no.10 jersey.. A lot of you focused more the likes of Demehin, Abiodun, Sabastine, Idoko and Imuran so you forget that there were other talents in the team.. Anyway she’s of same profile with Cynthia Uwak if you know Uwak very well… Can play all positions upfront especially from the Left or middle as a no. 9 She’s currently with 20goals in the Belarusian league as one of the top scorers.. |

Schemerkhiz:Yes just seeing she was part of our 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup squad (Deborah Abiodun, Oluwatosin Demehin, Esther Onyenezide, Flourish Sabastine, Rofiat Imuran set). Nice one to see her break through the Falcons now. |

ekehopp2:Nigeria have made it to the third round of CAF qualifying for the 2028 Olympic Women’s Football Tournament. The next FIFA window for women is between November 24-December 5. That means @thenff have only a few weeks left to appoint a substantive coach for @NGSuper_Falcons so the new coach can have a 3-match window to work with the ladies before that qualifier. If the coach is not in place for that friendly window, then the federation should stick with Eguavoen for that March qualifier and wait until after to appoint a new coach https://x.com/ColinUdoh/status/2110455028779499622 ------------------------------------------------------------ my sentiments exactly too. This Interim NFF board has their tenure expiring Mid 2027. Like Eguavoen qualified the Eagles for AFCON 2025, let him be allowed to do same for the Falcon's Olympics and have the new Coach take over afterwards. |

Not sure I follow your logic. The club has a legitimate concern regarding the welfare of the player, especially when she is under contract with them and they are paying her remunerations - billion dollar club or no. Her primary obligation (quid pro quo) is to fulfill her contract with them and help them meet their main objectives - sell stadium seats and win trophies. For your information, most of serious and forward-looking national teams do pay medical bills or offer welfare packages to their players when injured while on national assignments. That's the professional thing to do. Unlike the buffons and illiterates we have running our football, who know absolutely nothing about football management and player welfare. This has nothing to do with being dramatic. It is a very legitimate concern. And it is disappointing to suggest not being concerned about the player when that was indeed the main focus! The flamingoes should be able to win first 2 matches. Poland will be tough if they don't take their chances, but they should be fine. 3rd match will tell how far they can go in the tourney. I expect a semi final place and see where luck takes them after that. The attack is very very solid. |

AndSunGorilla:At least two to three months depending on the severity of the injury … |

Mehn... Okpe, Onyenezide, Abiodun, Olise, Okwuchukwu, Sabastine, Demehin, Imuran, Kalu, Alani, Idoko. That 2022 U20 side was loaded abeg. The loss to the Netherlands in the Quarters was so painful because the dutch played nothing and only took 2 chances and sat back for the rest of the game. Our coaches did not think up a way to break the dutch low block with the talents in that squad. ekehopp2: |

TheSuperNerd:Honestly, I didn't realize he was the coach. That said, that was a good assemblage of talents. While his touch line nous may be suspect, I raise my flat yash for am for putting together that team. |

Schemerkhiz:Yes your view is factual and I sort of hinted at that too. I was only pointing out that if for nothing, he searched for and used talented players which at least we are reaping some benefits today. Perhaps, they should make him a scout and pay him for that. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 3:49pm On Oct 16 |
Fact to note... Tomorrow, Poland will MAXIMISE set piece plays. They have this funny corner routine. They will run in circles to confuse defending team. They're very effective with set piece. With our height deficit, I'm almost certain they'll score about 2 set piece goals. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 1:59am On Oct 17 |
AndSunGorilla:Make Danjuma a scout? That means you want him to ruin the SuperFalcons more than what Madugu did because he will only perform his regular duties of selling slots to the highest bidder… We need who will pick the best players available not those they want to push on personal benefits.. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 4:00am On Oct 17 |
Schemerkhiz:Ok you know them way more than I can. How was he able to assemble that U20 we were talking about then? Does that mean Demehin, Debbie, Flourish, Onyenezide, etc bought slots at that time? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 4:14am On Oct 17 |
Watching the replay, the Comoros player is a w.icked being. She had no reason for making that tackle. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:27am On Oct 17 |
AndSunGorilla:Are we still in 2022? We’re talking about what is currently going on with the SuperFalcons, you’re taking us backwards. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 7:00am On Oct 17 |
Schemerkhiz:I saw the goal post shifting you did there, just a simple question based on your postulation. Anyways for the Super Falcons to move forward. Of course the NFF needs to get a reasonably good coaching crew for the team. Personally i would like us to rettry one of our ex Falcons as we rebuild. We have to try out many competent youngsters as much possible through friendly games. Some will fail, some will shine as the team gets rejigged. Finally, attention has to be paid to the underage teams to further produce those kind of players similar to the class of 2022 and older ones like the Oshoalas, Oparanozie, Nnadozie and co. Anyone that can help us build the pipeline should be encouraged to participate, particularly those who have done it before one way or another. |

mostob:It may really have been unintentional. Some clumsy challenges could end up being costly. I remember one tackle that the Heung Min Song made, that he himself started crying after seeing the ensuing injury he caused. |
