ekehopp2:
Poland just have to win their last game against Puerto Rico and they're through with 6 points.
Puerto Rico in 2 hours time will likely be our only win/point (e fit be just 2-0 sef). North Korea will trash us.
And with a very bad goal difference overall we will likely not make it through as one of best 3rd placed sides.
2 nil just like I predicted.
2nd goal came because we finally did a tactical thing (send a good cross well in, great positioning and header for the goal) that we refused to do most of the game.
Over all our play was disjointed. North Korea will trash us 6 nil in our last game and we'll go home with our miserly 3 points.

I think it’s high time we consider the top Ex-Internationals for the age grade teams as well because most of them have been coaching youth teams abroad especially the ones based in the US 🇺🇸

A remainder that Randy Waldrum gained 94.14 points at the world cup, the biggest stage in football. Madugu lost 74 points at the WAFCON.

People comparing Madugu with Waldrum might need to go for a checkup

Because they're the ones who make decisions at the glass house right? Lmao
What a primary school strawman. I never claimed fans make the decisions, only that excuse-making culture waters down serious issues. The glass house is content with keeping up the farce and monkey parade because the public applauds mediocrity, calls criticism "hate," and treats every loss as bad luck. You just need to look no further than the so-called "journalists" on the Twitter space. Whenever one person tries to apply critical thinking to point out foolishness in the system, there's always saboteurs around to water down the subject. Nigerians are never known to speak in one voice. And this goes beyond football as well. It's the very reason we've been on a downward spiral ever since 1999 with regards to picking our presidents. It's always a case of frying pan to fire. Officials don't fear a populace who excuse everything. My point went straight over your head like a fighter jet, as it always does whenever I engage some of you here.

Our Flamingos can no longer match Uefa u17 tit for tat like before. Its now these south and central American teams we beat. The Asians left is behind as well. That's a dip in quality even if we want to see them succeed individually.

It reveals the low tactical quality leading these girls. Since Ordega that was just netting for fun at u17 level to what we have now, we have snail progress.

Whatever revamp they're doing at NFF, when it is over, it is high time they reserve these cadet jobs for ex-ints that have the top licenses and experience.

Trying to divert attention away from the fact that you fumbled. Since you know it all and you find it hard to engage people here, GTFOH then.

Have you guys seen the video of goalkeeper Onyinyechi Patience Okeke that’s trending??

She stepped into the field in Liberia 🇱🇷 in protest for her salary owed by Determine Girls FC, a CAF Champions League playing club..

I didn't fumble jack. What really happened here is that you got caught pants down answering an argument NOBODY here made, panicked after I unraveled your strawman, and then reached for this bitter, half-baked, half-concession that tries to save face without admitting you just shot off your own foot. Maybe next time, properly parse a post in full to get an accurate understanding of the position before jumping in unceremoniously. Else, the tendency is you're likely going to end up making yourself look real silly.

Not only shocking, but extremely sad.
This was a player you held in high esteem. Truth is I
Never really thought she was good enough for the Falcons, and her having to play her football in Liberia (of all places) proves the point.
My concern for her now is that she may face a significant ban for willingly disrupting a CAF CL match, which may end her football career at any level, including coaching.
Sad!

To have played U17 & U20 World Cup as a starting goalie and also getting called up to the SuperFalcons she can’t be that bad, but i can attest that she fumbles when least expected..

Left Israel 🇮🇱 league for this Liberia 🇱🇷 clubside maybe for the champions league qualifiers earlier on before this issue camp up.

News Update ⬇️

The second module of the CAF A-License Coaching Course, being organised by the Nigeria Football Federation, commenced at the weekend in Abuja.

Several coaches like Finidi George, Imama Amapakabo, and Kennedy Boboye are part of the cohort.

Top coaches like finidi,Kennedy boboye are just going for CAF A license. Our coaches are inadequately equipped. Imagine the level of other coaches

No better encapsulation of the coaching crisis in Nigerian football than this. Among the cohort only now seeking CAF's foremost coaching certification are three men, named here, who have won titles at the highest level of the country's footballing pyramid in the past decade.

For all intents and purposes, these are our best coaches, and yet they are inadequately credentialed.

And i can boldly tell you that the two assistant coaches of the Flamingoes have just CAF-C Coaching license which they acquired it in 2025.. although both of them are Ex- Superfalcons internationals ( Joy Jegede who was Ohale Center back pair in 2010 U20 World Cup and winger Amenze Aighwewhi who was at the 2011 FIFWWCUP in Germany…

True they are. But even the ones that were "older" still flopped. They couldn't even shoot properly at goal or soak pressure aand string passes. Maybe the master plan is to have at least one player play the tournament twice, so 15yo and 17yo across 2 editions

But that's the more reason to drill and make them even more capable of matching the Asians in quality. We can't again. Gbogbo e kan daaru ni. From male and female side. Flash in the pan levels.

On a family level, empathy fit make one do "understanding Nigerian" but that's not what will make the progress and future secured sha.

It has happened again o 😭

Nigeria U17, Golden Eaglets failed to qualify for AFCON U17 as they crashed out of WAFU B Qualifiers & in this light, they won't qualify for U17 World Cup.

Super Eagles no World Cup ❌️
Super Falcons no World Cup ❌️
U20 no AFCON & World Cup ❌️
U17 no AFCON & World Cup ❌️
Super Eagles' AFCONQ shaking. ⚠️

When they complain about local coaches, local talents, NFF and the corruption of Nigerian Journalist, many of you people without intergrity will come online and start dragging nonsense.

We are a very corrupt, myopic and proud people who dont like the truth.

Look at what Randy Waldrum left behind after the 2023/24 World Cup and Olympics, because of corruption, they brought in Madugu to ruin everything… All because they won the 2024 WAFCON from what Randy built down, thinking Madugu have something upstairs 🙄😂😂

Anyway the pain of the 2027 World Cup miss will surely come hunting next year
Now they have started with Austin Eguavoen and Danjuma deceiving themselves, what happens to simply appointing a standard coach and letting him or her build the team again instead of this interim nonsense… I’m tired 😢

We have so many mediocre, corrupt and very greedy people in football space, from coaches to administrators, to the said journalist who only think of collecting peanuts to promote mediocrity and stupidity.

This is why I am so mad at anyone that comes for Eric chelle, because you all see the serious work the man and his team puts in trying to improve our national team.
a national team that was on its knees, depleted and lacking confidence and conviction to win matches, playing absolute thrash before he came, with the local coaches at the helm and we were on jeopardy.

Eric Chelle has created a proper team identity, created healthy competition for positions and improved the team a lot but yet some of you miserable journalist will be attacking him for your stupid corrupt NFF & NSC bosses.
Sabotaging national interest for your personal interest.... such madness.

Today look at us, a nation with so much footballing history and potential is now mopping the floor for lesser opponents.

Our local league is absolutely laughable, poorly funded teams that cant compete for anything in Africa for decades.

Women football, the special one we always praised with pride is now in serious decline, underage football is absolutely zero, even the men's national team is struggling due to poor administrative management that cant fightfor the teams welfare in CAF when we go to lay important matches...

You'll see african teams taking the super eagles to farms to play matches and gain advantages while we have an administrative body that can't demand the right thing.
NFF failed with south africa taking us to bloemfontein, failed with Guinea bissau taking us to that farm, and failed with the petition against Dr Congo.

But pride will not let you see the probelm, it is rather Eric Chelle you all speak about, because he is collecting a salary you all are angry about.

We are failing as a nation, in all ramifications, we are struggling for basics because we have failed to build anything for so many years, no new stadiums, no new sporting facilities, no proper funding, no merit for selection of coaches and players, tribalism, nepotism, all very stupid things have derailed this nation and the worst now is the football we love so much going down the drain.

It is just too bad...

I dont want to hear anything about local coaches again, I dont even want to hear anything about local talents again.
We dont have any of the both of them.
U17 and U20 left in the hands for these coaches have been shit for so long, not even producing any player capable of competing in the senior national team, hence why we lack replacements in the national team.

If not for Eric chelle and his relentless scouting, I wonder what will become of super eagles by now.

Until we get serious and reduce corruption in our system drastically... then we are not ready and will continue to rely on foreign players and ideas to move forward.

What a miserbale footballing nation
we have become, underdogs that dont qualify for anything anymore.

Corruption can really destroy a nation and this is another proof of it.

If una like, continue doing this until we completely become a forgotten history and people in world football.

Rubbish !!!!

🚨EXCL - Understand that arrangements are being made by CAF, for Kemi Adegbuyi and Oluebube Umejiaku to join up with the Edo Queens team for the CAF Women's Champions League Qualifier in Egypt, from the #U17WWC in Morocco.

Alternatives also considered, if the duo do not make it.

They should allow them focus on the WC.

A world cup that they are bound to get knocked out off soon? It's no news that this team isn't very good so I'll rather she gets the ticket with Edo Queens with a chance to compete at the champions league and potentially at the recently announced World Club world cup should she still be there in 2028.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 5:41pm On Oct 22
FIFA just announced the USA as host of the first World club cup in 2028. Each qualified team will get a preparation fund of $2.5M.

If Edo Queens needs motivation, this is all the motivation they need in the world. $2.5M is life changing money for a women's team from Africa.

I agree, chance of progressing in the WC is slim, however, I don't think even Edo will get the best if her if she has to juggle both competitions.
