Good morning house. Pls don’t tell me I should used ChatGPT for my question plsssss. Actually am considering Diploma in Nursing or Bsc. Can u advice me on the one to pick. My priority is the one my family can go with me and the that qualifies me and my husband PR thereafter. Third. I wanted to request for my GCMS but I have forgotten my application ID Username and Password. I didn’t not keep the banned letter that time because I was so furious that time.

Okay, so the reason people keep saying you should use ChatGPT is that it has access to a lot of information. But the truth is, the kind of answer you get depends on how you ask your question...Are you asking it the right question?

Anyway, I understand that you want to hear from people with real-life experience, so let me share my own advice.. from emails I get from countless people

First, if your plan is to bring a family member to Canada, it can only be a husband Because for him to qualify for a spousal open work permit, you need to meet the requirements as a spouse or common-law partner. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/help-your-spouse-common-law-partner-work-canada.html

In that case, a BSc in Nursing may be a better option to explore, provided you meet the current requirements. A nursing diploma does not automatically qualify your spouse or common-law partner for an open work permit. Certain master's programmes may also qualify, depending on the programme and current IRCC rules.

Also bringing a family member means you need additional proof of funds $29,192 for living expenses, on top of your tuition and other expenses. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents/financial-support.html

BSc Nursing is not cheap in most schools, so please make sure your finances are solid before committing to this plan.

As for PR, nobody can guarantee you anything. It can be a long journey, and immigration rules can change. However, nursing can give you an advantage because some healthcare occupations qualify under category-based selection, provided you meet the applicable requirements.

Lastly Please, do everything possible to obtain your GCMS notes and find out exactly what happened.

I have seen cases where people received five-year bans and later discovered that the Facebook agent who handled their application had entered all sorts of rubbish. Some people found out that their employment details had been changed or extra work experience had been added. I have even heard cases where an agent claimed someone had a husband when the person was not even married! Very funny I have seen it all 😂

The problem is that you may not know what these Facebook agents submitted on your behalf until it is too late. And whatever false information they put in your application can come back to haunt you when applying for another visa or even PR years later.

Maybe it was the fake POF that caused your problem, but you cannot just assume that was the only issue. You need to understand the full picture before deciding what to do next.

If the problem was limited to a fake bank statement, your options may be different from a situation where the agent also fabricated employment history, marital status or other information.

Depending on what the notes reveal, you may be able to handle things yourself.

But if there are multiple false declarations or serious misrepresentations, consult an immigration lawyer or an RCIC before making another move. immigration lawyers and RCICs are not cheap ooooo

The funny thing is that people who are going to respond to you are most likely to use ChatGPT to get their response for you.

2 year nursing Diploma would have been best option if spouse is not coming with you to canada, you can bring spouse later on pgwp while working on Teer 2 job as a nurse..however BN is 4years and expensive but will entitle spouse on a work permit if spouse is lucky finds work in on demand occupation ,the whole family may get PR before you finish program in province nominee program or RCIP
Without GCMSNOTES to find more details, the best option for you is to declare previous refusal reasons Misrepresentation That she used false information on previous application and received 5 years ban which has elapsed ..
even any other findings in previous application then should be equal to same 5 years ban, even if not stated on refusal notice!!
Including an apology that any information on current application is truthful to the best of her knowledge..

logically you cannot charge person for same offence twice!

Yes you can bring kids and plan how to manage them while studying, you must plan ahead for day care in advance if the children needs day care...
The program will require practical they may schedule practical at the hospital during night time when all day care is closed, then you may need to find private individual for childs care.

DemmyDD Predator188 is right Just understand the costs involved so you can plan more realistically....its not as easy as you think but its possible but expensive also

Daycare can have a waiting list of several months, sometimes around 8 months. Even if your kids are school aged and don't need daycare, you may still need before and after school care because most schools close around 3 p.m. which cost money and as a student you do not have that extra money except you do ...

Just plan properly and factor these costs into your budget before moving.

If you can, by all means legally, try and come to Canada. There are a lot of opportunities here. I am already benefiting from the Canadian system.
I hope Nigeria gets to this point soonest.

I was advised to get a Canadian work experience as it would help me in a long run. Normally, I didn't intend working while schooling since the remote job I am doing is already tasking couple with school activities.

But because I need the Canadian work experience, na so I started submitting my resume on company websites.

I have applied to like 20 companies and got 3 offers, 1 company yet to make final decision and about 6 rejections. All these happen in the space of one week plus. I dedicated last week for submitting resume.

I did physical interview with 2 companies (tech) and the rest were online interviews.

I will be assuming work on Monday with one of the company still a tech company.

One company just sent me a email to submit a couple of documents for background checks.

The first stages of most of the interviews were done by AI. AI was my interviewer.

ChatGPT has really helped me o. People said go for career coaching even there is a group in my school where you are been taught how to write resume, prepare for interview and all that.

I boycott the group and ChatGPt has always been my go to resource.

Modified:
For those that will come here to ask me why i used 'assuming' work on Monday instead of 'resuming' work on Monday. Please go check the meaning of those two words and when to use them in a sentence.

Hello Guys, I don’t know how to create a standalone post. I wanna explain what’s bothering me. So I will be applying for my study permit next year, and now I have a sister in Canada she will be the one to pay my fees for 1year cause it’s a 1 year MA course and my other sister is in the UK she will be the one to sponsor my living expenses. So now the thing is she’s has been putting money in my bank account which I have been putting back to my mutual fund and maybe a month before I apply I will deposit the money back to my normal bank account with explanation of why I kept the money there for safekeeping. What do my sponsors need to do for me

Bro, stop moving the money around — that’s the part that can sink your application.

IRCC doesn’t need the money to sit in your account. With sponsors abroad, the officer wants to see that the money exists in their accounts with a normal history, not that it landed in yours a month before you applied. Money that appears suddenly is flagged as “lump sum/parked funds” — one of the most common refusal reasons on this forum.

What each sister should give you:

A signed sponsorship letter — who she is, her relationship to you, exactly what she’s covering (tuition / living), and that she’s aware of the cost.
4–6 months of her bank statements, in her name.
Proof of income — payslips, employment letter or tax document.
Proof of relationship — your birth certificates showing the same parents.

Then, if the Canada sister can pay the first-year tuition directly to the school before you apply, do that — a tuition receipt beats every bank statement. For living costs, buy a GIC with the UK sister’s money (CAD 20,635 minimum outside Quebec). Both are things an officer cannot argue with.

Your mutual fund: leave it. Show it as your own asset with its own statement and history. Don’t liquidate it to “top up” your account — that’s the same lump sum problem in reverse.

Short version: sponsors show their money in their names, you show yours in yours, and nothing jumps between accounts right before you apply.

Okay
What do you mean by I should buy a gic with 20k minimum…when I get there will I be able to withdraw the gic funds back?

I’m a fresh graduate also…so no assets per se….can I use my mutual fund account to apply?

ur pidgin is confusing but I will try to understand u.

What do u mean by for someone wey Dey on ground?

Cold in Canada can be crazy. I barely go outside. I could stay indoors for 4 days without seeing outside because outside is very cold even with the Sunlight.

New students struggle with different things. Cold is not just for new students everyone here is not used to cold.

My prof said he’s been in Canada for over 20yrs and he is still finding cold as an issue. So nobody gets used to cold.

Since I entered Canada in August I never sweat unless when I am in the gym.

E get how the cold would come and my hands would be so peppery like say dem rub pepper for my hands. Water will start coming out from my eyes and nose reason I don’t go outside unless it’s necessary.

Over here an average person you see wears jacket or hoodie due to cold.

I am always carrying jacket when I’m outside.

The weather is u predictable. It could be warm and the next moment very cold

But winter cold has not started in canada this time feels like summer sometimes.. grin

In 2025 winter cold broke my room window glass in manitoba shattered it into pieces,If not that the glass was two, one inside and one outside,I would have evacuated that room at the mid night!
It completely destroyed the window glass inside, it was upto -35° degrees that time.

Yes, that split works — GIC for living costs, mutual fund as your own extra asset.

For anyone wondering what a GIC is: you deposit CAD 20,635+ with a Canadian bank (Scotia, CIBC, RBC, ICICI, SBI Canada) before you apply. They lock it and give you a certificate for your application. When you land, you get about CAD 2,000–3,000 upfront and the rest comes back to you in equal monthly chunks over 12 months. No early withdrawal. That’s exactly why IRCC loves it — it’s living money they know you can’t touch.

Fund it once, lump sum. Monthly top-ups just look like money being gathered.

And no, you can’t send naira straight — the bank takes a wire in CAD or USD, so there’ll be a trail regardless. Don’t fight that; use it. Wire from your sister’s account, or from yours with her transfer plus her sponsorship letter. “My sister sponsored me, here’s her letter and statement” is a one-line story officers approve every day. Trying to hide where the money came from is what gets people refused.
