Schemerkhiz:Bad times no doubt. Na real things fall apart. The government who are in charge now through the NSC are focused on the next election. Unfortunately nothing is going to happen till after the elections. |

PDPGuy:The Naija U17 Avengers are ready.

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 2:24pm On Oct 26 |
AndSunGorilla:Ucheibe remains a DM will only come in occasionally when the need arises.. Remember Ayinde is aging and we can only rely on Abiodun as there isn’t any one yet we can pick on. Do you have a proper Left Back apart from Plumptre who can play there?? Imuran is more of a back up in that position. As for Maureen I can assure you she will certainly get the opportunity and hopefully not a late one. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 2:26pm On Oct 26 |
AndSunGorilla:This window and period would have been good time for the new coaches to work something out…. Other African countries are on the rise and we seem to be drown in past glory which might fade out real quick and the Falcons will start struggling like the Eagles to qualify for a major tournament. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 2:36pm On Oct 26 |
Schemerkhiz:Na Sidon look I dey now. Maybe a miracle might happen with the temporary NFF board to be set up. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 2:37pm On Oct 26 |
Schemerkhiz:The more the merrier. Okeke is on the fringes of the team, tell Maureen to wake up. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 2:55pm On Oct 26 |
Sorry, but even at her previous club, she was played as a CB and was very good at it. With the plethora of young, up and coming DMs available, it would make sense to have her be one of our center-backs, especially in a key and strategic area where we are clearly thin on credible options. And Imuran is NOT a defender. Currently at Aston Villa (and at London Lionesses and Stade de Reims, before that), she was played and continues to play as a left sided midfielder/winger - and she has been very good at it! Its just silly playing her as a left back. Nicole Payne and Ayo Oke (Denver Summit) can hold the fort as LB. As for your girl Maureen, I really don't see her as SF material, as she has repeatedly failed to prove herself good enough. Schemerkhiz: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 3:25pm On Oct 26 |
AndSunGorilla:Be calm, she will, Maureen brings that calm and excellent ball playing coupled with her aerial strength and good reading of the game. As for Okeke, too many injuries if not she’s up there especially when you need a defender to bring in that touch of physicality.. In all OLADIPO is going to be a main stay… Imagine commentators hailing her while I was watching AS Roma game against Juventus… He said Oladipo is the heart of Roma Defense that she’s very solid. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 3:28pm On Oct 26 |
AkinDS:Don’t know what’s the problem with Nicole Payne and Invitations to the SuperFalcons right now… As for Ayo Oke am not counting her in as she’s following the US path currently a regular with their U23 and a cap with the Senior team already. Were we really have a problem is the Left Position.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 3:35pm On Oct 26 |
AkinDS:We have some number of DM’s but not solid yet and with Ayinde over 30 already and after 2️⃣ ACL and some nagging injuries it’s time to sort for another capable young lads but they ain’t there yet.. 1• Emmanuel Favour (24yrs) Lokomotive Moscow, 🇷🇺 2• Chinyere Kalu (20yrs) Levante Badalona, 🇪🇸 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 4:04pm On Oct 26 |
Schemerkhiz:Oladipo and Demehin who are young. The LB is where we actually have issues now. AS Ashleigh grows older, I think it would be better she focuses on playing as a CB, the pace and stamina would diminish with age for playing LB. Imuran has disappointed too many times. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 4:06pm On Oct 26 |
Schemerkhiz:I had not even read this before my own comment. Nicole's call up will come soon I believe, provided she stays injury free and continues to play well. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 8:01pm On Oct 26 |
She's 23 now and will no longer be available for the U23s. Also, she has only 1 cap (a friendly) which means she is still fully available for Nigeria. IF a serious coach is hired for the SF, she can begin her switch to Nigeria. Schemerkhiz: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 8:14pm On Oct 26 |
I'll add the following to your list: a. Suliat Abideen (24) - Fenerbache, Turkiye b. Elisha Sulola (25) - Napoli, Italy c. Joy Igbokwe (20??) - Nasarawa babes, Nigeria Schemerkhiz: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ekehopp2: 9:57pm On Oct 26 |
AkinDS:Lols, no player is born with a role/position printed on their forehead. They play across everywhere and usually specialize in one or 2 areas as time goes by. Michelle Alozie is a striker at club level, but plays left and right back for Nigeria, after Randy first placed her there. Christy Ucheibe plays midfield and defence. Ashley Young was a winger that converted to a Wing and full back at Manchester United. So there's nothing wrong under the sun for Rofiat Imuran to play left wing and left back. Stop being condescending towards Nigerian coaches. Just stop it. it's sickening. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 2:30pm On Oct 27 |
ekehopp2:Valid point you made with Ashley Young and even Michelle Alozie, I also remembered that Randy played Toni Payne as a LB at some point albeit temporarily. But to be fair, some of the past local coaches we have had in recent years didn't cover themselves in glory too. @Schemerkhiz between Okon, Mabo and Omagbemi, how would you rate their tenures when they coached the Super Falcons. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:02pm On Oct 27 |
AkinDS:The first two ain’t DM’s even though they can play there, their original position is the Central Midfield/Box-2-Box which they’re currently playing at their clubside.. As for the joy she isn’t a Superfalcons material yet. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:06pm On Oct 27 |
AndSunGorilla:The 3 tried at least… Omagbemi would have been my no.1 if she stayed longer and got tested at the World Stage! But with the WAFCON performance only I will put her at no.2 and Okon no.3 while Mabo Ismaila takes the no.1 The worst coaches to handle the SuperFalcons are Justin Madugu, Khadiri Ikhana and Christopher Danjuma weda interim or full time… |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:16pm On Oct 27 |
There was a time we had defenders like Onome Ebi Faith Ikidi Ulunma Jerome Osinachi Ohale Helen Ukaonu Josephine Chukwunonye Ebere Ngozi Gladys Nnena Akpa Lilian Cole Etc… They were fast, strong and very physical and defended ruthlessly.… I can’t see that in the team right now.. Only Ikidi, Ebere were average speed.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 6:40pm On Oct 27 |
Schemerkhiz:Thank you. Honestly, Omagbemi was unfairly treated. True justice would mean having her reinstated. She was fired for speaking out against the despicable acts by the NFF. This was someone who gave her blood, sweat and tears on the field for Nigeria both as a player, captain and then coach. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 9:52pm On Oct 27 |
AndSunGorilla:You don’t speak against the NFF and go Scott free…. 🆓 Even when she was called back before Randy took over she gave the NFF her clause on what and what she want but they couldn’t meet up.. She said she’s going to work from the 🇺🇸 by coming regularly to do her job, they refused that she must come and stay in Nigeria.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 9:57pm On Oct 27 |
AndSunGorilla:Imagine big players like Faith Ikidi, Onome Ebi, Ohale and Esther Sunday Speaking highly of you on your behalf.. I remember what Captain Evelyn Nwabuoku who’s currently based in the UK now said about her even though missed out of the 2016 WAFCON due to injury.. But one thing that made me respect her so much is standing up for the players knowing fully well that the NFF will not tolerate such behavior.. I still respect Randy for that..! As for your Madugu, he dare not speak🙄😂😂😂 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 11:27pm On Oct 27 |
Schemerkhiz:Yet we let foreigners work like that. Even Oliseh was given the liberty to work from wherever he wanted. I am.just hoping the next NFF board firstly the interim one would have the genuine love for the game at heart and correct some wrongs. |

This is an old video and with this you should have an idea of what she can bring to that Central Midfield with experience from England 🏴, Portugal 🇵🇹, Spain 🇪🇸, Greece 🇬🇷 and currently Italy 🇮🇹.. , but if you want to see what Elisha can offer then you have to Watch Napoli games regularly as she’s a starter and play 90minutes as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSvFYq-yPNI?feature=shared She has previously played for Tottenham Hotspur from their Youth team to the main team, Charlton Athletic, Valadares Gaia, Valencia, Sporting Huelva and OFI. |

Favour Emmanuel needs to be in the mix of DMs. She has started the last 3 games for Lokomotiv Moskov and has been playing quite well. Schemerkhiz: |

Ghana through to quarter final......they were the better team all game long, till they picked a red card, hence, Argentina, equalizing, then going to penalty kicks..they eventually won 5-4 on penalty... |

carbonado:Hoping our girls too can replicate this feat like the Ghanaians tomorrow |
