We are not going to relegate, this team, both coach and players are seriously underperforming, this team should not be anywhere close to relegation but it is what it is.

Let's just hope nitrogen and his Ogas will do the needful asapu

We’ve had 12 managers/caretakers since Ferguson retired.

E be like hire and fire no go pay us
Plainly because we are hiring and firing without sense with the incompetent owners we have.

Very reactive set of people with no plan whatsoever. Our board dey do insha allah and vibes.

Also look at the profile of all the coaches we have gotten, they all play different style of football, how do you want to get consistency from there.

Well they go for players that fit what they are building and style of play, that's what we should be doing too tbh but we don't even have a style of play yet. Everything just dey upside down.
Same way our board went for EPL proven players in Mbeumo, Cunha and young Sesko from German League last season, EPL proven Tielemans, Baleba and Santos this season. Truth is good players tend to struggle at United, so no guarantee that the players fans want will do well. Scamcho that some people hyped and rated highly joined and turned shit, United problem is deep...

First of all, how does EPL proven players relate to buying players that compliments the way the team wants/expects to play? You even listed Santos as EPL proven player? is everything okay at home like this?

First, I don't think the board should be listening to fans to sign players, no other serious club listen to their fans before signing a player.

Second, not every signing will hit the ground running or will do well here, that's why serious club buy players and when they don't perform, they ship them out and buy new ones. We are the only club that once we sign a player and he flops we'll be trying different ways to make it work when it's so obvious it isn't working

Finally, Tielemans, Santos are not what we should be signing from the EPL if we are a serious club, I still believe Baleba will come good, the potential is there.

Ok Santos is not EPL proven, was the other players not doing well for their club before United signed them? Name a player you believe United will sign that won't flop?

I agree, just that i have seen us sign world class players that turned shit. I won't rate any player they sign until he start performing on the pitch for us...

Oasis: United ain't gonna relegate
Oasis007:
grin

.....thought we all agreed this season is gone right from when Amorim was appointed?! The players ain't good enough to compete for EPL Title. This is something so obvious to everyone.

What's so certain is, United ain't gonna relegate, its so certain like daybreak! I know the kids will get their chances and hopefully right from next game.

They need to train with first team for a week atleast, then understand style of play and tactics of Amorim first before being tried out.
Afrodoc: As long as we no relegate
afrodoc2:
This season is long gone. As long as we no relegate i would leave Amorim to continue with what he knows so that he won't cause confusion like ETH by changing style all over the place for temporary benefit only to ultimately waste our time.

Let Amorin coach as he sees fit. If he fails, he should be sacked. If he changes his style to another formation and fails now the excuse will be that he it was because he changed style and that he will succeed when he changes to his own style. That is how we will waste another 2-3 years. like we did with ETH. Let us know quickly whether there is hope with this guy and if he fails let us sack him.

The original sin made by the club was not sacking ETH in the summer of last year. They now compounded it by an in-season appointment of a manager with a formation and style that did not fit the players we had in the team.

There is nothing we can do about all that now, so we just have to roll with it.
odizeey: Hopefully we don't relegate
odizeey:
It's really not funny at this point.

I'm pained. But let's see how he will play from next season. Hopefully, we don't relegate.
No serious fan of the club will ever wish for relegation no matter the circumstances. But because of englishisamust you are vibrating as if his wishes form a collective opinion on this thread:
Englishisamust:
These are the players we are parading in the team and you want to perform magic with this set of players... Thank God amorim is flushing them out one by one. Even if we go relegate, it is best for us. Right now man u need to start from root. We should not except anything for the next 2 years.. Sancho, Rashford, Antony nothing will come out of those 3
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 4:20pm On Nov 01
I didn't join in the relegation talks because I never saw it as a possibility. Not even in Amorim's first season.

Meanwhile look at this clown below that claimed Amorim should be sacked for finishing 16th when he never even finsihed that close to relegation claiming Carrick will compete to win the league this season

Goosethetruth:
Any incompetent manager should be buried in a shallow grave.
Would Barcelona,Real Madrid, PSG,Inter Milan,AC Milan,Liverpool,Chelsea,Athletico Madrid,Helicopter,Liverpool,Steaa Bucharest,Porto,or even Arsenal allow a manager to finish a season in the 16th or 17th position and hand such a manager a warchest of money to buy new players so that the club would end up in a relegation dog fight?
Amorim does not deserve another chance to relegate this team. The hand writing on the wall is glaring. It could be too late before he is relieved of his job.
Goosethetruth:
If you like gather yourselves in your evil coven to grumble it doesn't bother me. You can say what you like as long as you don't say it to me directly by quoting me it is water off a ducks back. You cannot control the narrative on this forum because none of you own it.
The point is I will discuss the failure of that greasy haired empty head called Amorim anytime I like. I will critic him whenever I like. And as I told you earlier, any CLOSET Amorim supporter who does not like what Michael Carrick is doing here, should either slam your head on a concrete wall or follow Amorim to his next club and support his perpetuL failure.
Carrick is the potential permanent manager in the summer. He will have his own pre season. He will be allowed to sign his own players and he probably wins the league next season. If you don't like this prediction,go ahead and crack your head on a concrete wall!
Now his darling Carrick is sitting comfortably in 17th position he hates so much. Only someone who knows nothing about football will see that United team from the end of last season and start predicting league title.

We just need to be sacking managers every year so we can be lucky enough to finish top 10 every season like this one wants
nitrogen:
You don’t mind us relegating as well? Which would you prefer, stick with Amorim and battle relegation or change manager to improve our chances of making top 10?
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 4:23pm On Nov 01

If you can think without involving the coach, you’ll understand better why United are struggling. Sack Amorim and bring in the next one whilst holding on to a chunk of these players . Let’s see if things won’t go from fry pan to fire.
Tgey have no long term ideas or plans for how United can actually compete for the league or UCL again 2 to 5 years from now.

Na make we sha dey sack every year so we can be lucky with new manager bounce to finish the season in top 10 and maybe win one Carabao Cup

Lmao. Look at this one. SUG President of mumunamu association feeling fly and calling people names.

Aren't you the one asking the club to keep sacking till we get lucky? You literally want the club to keep faking it till the make it.

Of everybody on your own side of your association, you are literally the last person that should be fighting and calling people names for actually wanting better for the club. You are a joke

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 4:34pm On Nov 01
For the record, as much as I defend managers, Carrick is useless and he should be sacked. It is what we will do after by keeping the same core of players and expecting the next manager to "luckily finish top 10" and magically win the league that I will always argue against.

There needs to be a long term plan of competing for the league and UCL that will be achievable in 2 to 5 years starting with a rebuild of the squad and a swift change in mentality of the team.
All these short term fixes will always bring us back to this point every year

There were some questions on Cunha performance at wolves. Tielemans has lost some pace. He is not at his peak. There was no reason to sign Santos at all. Which other player aside Mbuemo are you counting as EPL proven?

I'm not saying they're not better than the current position on the table before you start another argument there

So I guess you were probably capping 🧢 in hypotheticals when you said this:
Goosethetruth:
Without prejudice to last nights PSG/Bayern Muchen match which I seriously enjoyed as a neutral, the simple fact is that both teams have poor and porous defence lines.
While it is good to attack at all times,it is also important to have a reliable defence line.
Thinking that you will always out score your opponent may work sometimes but it will not work ALL times. This was the mentality that did the marvellous Brazilian national team in at the 1982 world cup versus Italy. It was what did PSG in against Chelsea in the World Cup final last year.
A tactical and clever coach will finally come up on top against a coach who believes he will always out score his opponent at all times.
Watching last nights Champions league semi final gave me more confidence that Manchester United with clever signings in the summer will challenge for the Champions league next season.
The signings you've defended here:
Goosethetruth:
Management of Manchester United have been extremely smart and carefully structured in the transfer market. No noise and flamboyance. Just going about their business and building a carefully structured and balanced football team. The new stadium is quietly being developed. The future of this club is very bright.
Indeed the club's future is very bright. I like the bright food Carrick has served you this season

Personally I have very high expectations from Carrick and the team this season.

nihilistjnr:
Personally I think Carrick is a good manager and just needs time. United have world class players - Bruno, Mainoo, Mbuemo, Amado, Lisandro, Lammenso

Ballers. As a diehard united fan since 99, I think the board should stick with this group. The only thing I think I can fault Carrick for is not starting Rashford more, and at 9. Bruno at right wing can be our Beckham.

GGMU.
