I did it but it is the same result,.....when I called the guy that did it at their Ido office, he was even shouting on phone that I will be arrested for calling a genuine plate number invalid. I could not meet him today because of my job.


I will take a day off on Friday to visit him in his office because I will want to be arrested for finding out on FRSC website that the number plate issued to me is fake

A lot of people are been given fake new number plates on daily basis. The worst is the driver's licence. People still give touts passport to get driver's licence for them, when it has been made known that you have to be physically there for data capture. In this case, i would blame the victims.

But in your case, you were just unfortunate because it can happen to anyone.

The sooner you realise that you have a problem and sort it out, the better for you. You are not the only one that has been issued fake number plates and fake driver's licence, and you may not be the last. You are not the only one that have used a road officer, yet issued fake licence or number plate. The day they will tow and seize your vehicle, thats the day you will regret not doing anything about it before then.

For anyone who have verified his but didnt get "Number plate has been produced by FRSC and assigned to vehicle xxxxx on xxxx at xxxx", then you have a problem. Deal with it when you still can. Go to FRSC and find out why the number plate isn't assigned to your vehicle or why the registration is not yet completed. Is what I would do. Asking them these questions when they have stopped and seized your vehicle on the road won't help you.

i quite agree with your point and would do what is necessary but,in line with my last post,i do not totally agree that the site is fully functional.it is more of a work-in-progress thing.i was able to run a couple of number through the site and it hardly fully authenticated all the numbers despite the fact that these people have been using their numbers for ages.the sampled number was just too large for all of them to be fake.i still spoke with a couple of them who indicated that they personally followed up their registration processes to the end.a registered toyota camry came as being registered as a sienna on the site.
i still spoke with a number of frsc officials who comfimed to me that the records were being updated on a daily basis.the fact that a result does not turn up 100% positive does not automatically means it is a fake number plate.the vio/frsc should have fully done their homework well before letting things out.
but having said that,it is imperative to try and find out why a search result does not turn up the right results just to be on the safe side.
