ezo4fta: GOD bless u for ur post. Please I want to ask if it is advisable to come to USA with a student visa..I mean a 2 years student visa.It depends on school, you maybe able to get SSN through your school. You can use this SSN to get a state identity card and drivers license but you can't use it to work. You can also be working as a CAB driver and making good money, most especially in Metropolitan cities. GPS is easy to use in locating places while driving a cab. |

nwaomachux: There's no place like home. I know what I'm saying. How about asking the musician who's stuck there or the Indian diplomat who's been asked to leave the US? How about growing up in a place where Adam and Steve don't kiss each other plainly in the full public glare or Ada and Eve cuddling in a park?No I'd rather live in a country where senators marry prepubescent girls, where ppl are burnt alive for stealing, where a force man can shoot you to death cos u smiled when you are not supposed to , where human rights is fictional, where millions of people troop to churches to have the little they have extorted in hope for a miracle. Yes I'd rather stay here. |

Actually good tips, with the exception of the below mentioned, I sincerely beg to differ! I have lived in the US in my younger years ( until 15) and go there regularly as all my younger ones are citizens by birth ( youngest is 30 eldest is 40)and live there. My mother is an American citizen ( via naturalization), but its not the greatest country in the world BY FAR. Dont get me wrong it has its advantages but greatest, please.... then you haven’t travelled. America is a place where if you have money you are someone, if you dont you will wallow in squalor. You do know that a lot of its infrastructure is either second rate or old ( California electricity grid from the 50s and 60s still; NY and NJ bridges very and some in other states have actually collapsed). The cars you mention are all leased and borrowed. Most cant offered them. Its all about keeping up with the Jones. Crime, give me a break. I lived in Newark where drive by shootings were a daily occurrence. Have you been to Dubai or some arab states or Asia ie Singapore. What about Bermuda with the highest GDP per head around US100k!. Have you been to Australia? Have you been to Europe, if not ask people who live in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, or Germany if they would trade places. The level of poverty in some urban cities is just like being in Nigeria. The US is just trying to get basic health insurance for their citizens something that most of these countries enjoy at a good price to say the least. Where the average American needs a second job, most Europeans dont have and want one. My daughter is in route to study medicine here and it will cost me no more than EUR 2000 MAX per year. The rest paid by government. Most deficits here max 3%. Have a look at the strength of the Euro even with the crisis. I work for an American company here and all my colleagues say the exact same thing when they come......we always thought the US was super UNTIL we travelled out. Less than 12% have a passport as many dont and cant travel. Have a look at the indexes produced each year that rate the level of life of the citizens, the US at times doesn’t even break the top 10. So the tips are good and yes the US is a good place, but not great and I believe that this is the biggest and most important tip that they should understand. It will also remove the pressure back home when they know its not what its cut out to be instead of them thinking one is in heaven. jakaiso: America is still the greatest country in the world. The things we struggle for in Nigeria are taken for granted here. Buying a car or cars, buying a house etc. Armed robbers are not holding your estate hostage going from house to house, policemen are not waiting for you on the road, NEPA is not taking off the light at will,a rich man is not slapping your face and telling you to do your worst, you dont need connections to get a job...... |

How about growing up in a place where Adam and Steve don't kiss each other plainly in the full public glare or Ada and Eve cuddling in a park?BRUV ...u dont know what you are missing ( your mind has been conditioned to unlawfulness and disorder ) , living in Nigeria is another thing ,,,until you visit the USA ...and come back to Nigeria then you will know you are suffering and underliving in Nigeria ....No place like home is a good theme but ur home dont have light ; GOOD EDUCATION AND BASIC AMENITIES ..what kind of home is that !!! , the truth ..Nigerians are not honest ..and thats why how leaders are not performing because citizens cannot distinguish between life and death, prosperity and poverty ...dont get me wrong , if you have money ,you will enjoy Nigeria ( but the chance of armed robbers taking their share is high ) , when have u slept or just going your normal way without thinking of thevies breaking into your house or armed robbers bunping into you ? .. living in USA or UK ( i have lived both ) has his short comings ( if you dont have papers or you are out of a job ) but compare to Nigeria ...you cannot even start ...not comparable ,,,cant you see the queues at the uk and usa EMBASSIES ?..these people are not stupid now ...Nigeria is for the elites ,Army , and rich folks ..if the poor have their way they will alll leave Nigeria today ..at least for now ..until we get our acts together ,Nigeria is the pits ,,enough said bruv |

message for codebrew85, about been a nurse yes you can, look for a private nursing school , thats has 1 year lpn programme. example in dc , if you are resident they will pay 50% of your tuition. secondly if you succeed in getting your lpn, then try and get in to an lpn to rn programme. then look for a rn sponsorship job, means work permit will be sponsor by your job. especially if you are rn or in rn programme. |

so much like your write up. GOD bless you . what you wrote is the truth, the problem is some people don t plan before coming to the united states. u can make $70000 to $100000 a year. and if u are good in buying and selling u can double your income. but you have to plan and get the right information, |
