JayKayMaybachz: With this quad we will definitely rule the epl.....mark my words .... Am not sure of janmaat and hummels....Vrij & Vermaelen is quite shaw..... If utd are realy serious which i know they're .... We gonna grab vidal & sanchez we are done .... We need four player's to add up ... A winger, a Box-to-box middy and 2 Cb's
any CB we are signing should be an experienced one, nothing less! we have 3 prospects already
our right back is covered, RAF & JANKO can hold it down. there's also Val & Jones if so required

Vidal is better

Where exactly did Vidal play at this word cup? I couldn't assess him as a DM. Carvalho is a straight DM, he is comfortable on a one man deep lying midfielder. He will be good for a team like Barca.

I haven't really had the opportunity to watch any of chile's game

Buh what we need now is someone with pace and power and can hold it down, william is not just it to me as he is slow, even with his physique, I expected him to be a fast and powerful player

No be 200m them give van gaal?

Sanchez- 40m (could be bought for a lesser price)
Vidal- 44m
vermaelen- 11m
De vrij- 8m

Total- 103m

Shaw- 33m
Herrera- 30m if I'm not making a mistake

103 plus 63= 166m

Sell nani, young, cleverly, fellaini
if you.believe say 200m dey to spend na u sabi that one; I don't believe that. 150m max...
if I had a say, I'll pay for James Rodriguez even if na £45m. sell Young & Nani for combined of around £18m
pay around £25m for Hummels & around £40m for Vidal
sell Carrick & Cleverley for a combined fee of around £18m if I'm lucky
sell Rooney for £35m if I'm lucky
that's net spend of like £40m

SailorXY:

how much do u believe was set aside for transfers? hmmm
I believe Rooney will be sold to recoup some funds if our spending exceed £130m

@elampiro, how much do you think Suarez is worth? someone that has been consistent for 3 seasons now...
Sturridge will be worth +£40m cuz of a good season huh
Cavani was worth £50m or so a year ago, what's he done after the move?

Suarez will be 28 in the middle of next season, so he has 2 years left of his peak.

Sturridge has not even reached his peak and he wil be 25 next season.

All these things depends on who is buying, what they want so badly, and many other factors. Many clubs won't pay £20m for Shaw but Man United paid 30m.

well you are right
toure yaya is 31, yet I'll pay £35m for his services cuz he still powers past 25 year olds like they were not there...
Andre Pirlo may still command a higher fee than Tom Cleverley grin

We don't need rodriguez really, he plays the left wing right?? We need sanchez or di maria to displace valencia, hummels is a good choice buh is he ready to leave dortmund?

Well, Rodriguez is needed if we sell rooney

--------- de'gea --------

Rafael--- hummels--- de vrij--- shaw

--------- vidal------ herrera----

Sanchez/di Maria-- mata-- rodriguez

-------------- van persie ----------

There's no way I'm letting valencia play that right wing, even if it means taking a flight to england to get him killed

If we are not spending more than the amount you said, then januzaj can take valencia's place
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 11:25am On Jun 29, 2014
Transfer rumours:

* Chelsea and Liverpool, plus some Italian clubs now also in for Carvalho. Mourinho to bid 30m.

* Man United to lure Vidal with £230k/week wages. To bid around £35m

As for rodriguez, I said the same

DopeJemi, bar Rafael none of the current defenders made it to your first team defence line?

Yet small pikin dem like Pietro_Rico go dey chat megedefegede about United having a decent defence line than Chelsea.

Same edeme that likened Valencia's style of play to Willians.

But he has power undecided

Hummels would be perfect. He is at the right age, and should also provide some maturity and leadership at the back. We still have Smalling, jones and Evans who are pretty decent CBs

Any decent pundit knows too well that british players aren't too good as percieved.

Most of 'em are lazy and deserves not to be addressed as athletes, Its so damn easy for them to let you down when you expect them to perform.

But then again, their press superb sensationalism would help them command huge prices when a transfer calls.

I sha don't like smalling, jones and evans, with their one pattern of football, boring defenders if you ask me

Defenders like varane and miranda are what we need, defenders with class and elegance

That is the british press for you, their players are over priced and over-hyped, they lack ideas, what they do is cross corners, throw long passes, play free kicks and shoot, that's all, they are not dynamic and it showed in the world cup, they are never a joy to watch

Exactly what I am saying. Why get Verma or Vrij when they're not better than what we've?. Are we moving forward or backward?
We need an experienced world class CB to lead and organise our back since it is full of lads.

Same with our midfield, we've numbers there and not quality.

Through my years of seeing games, I cant tell for real which English team that have stole my heart with their unique style of play.

Everything seem traditional and conformed.

there should be a new player starting @ CB next season [experience: @ least one of Rio/Vidic must be replaced]
Shaw may be starting @ LB as well or just on the brink
there should be two new CMs starting next season [Herrera&.....]
there should be @ least a new winger starting too [James or Reus for me... we have been Shiite there for 3 seasons & its written in the stars]
that's half of the outfielders in Manchester United's team undecided

yea, we are that poor @ the moment & no ethic or 'club tradition' will straighten that
we already lost our fear factor even domestically, so we must lay off the deadwood! its that simple really
Moyes made that mistake & he's lost a lucrative job forever, van Gaal isn't willing to sail same boat

It's funny how you all automatically assume anything in the market to be better than what wÉ already have.

De vrij is suddenly a better CB than jones/evans based on what you saw in 3 games? Sigh.
FFS, even vlaar looked like a beckenbaur incarnate in that defensive set up of LVG.

The grass aint always greener on the other side!
Moyes' ineptitude made a whole lot of our players look bad(when in actual fact they aren't)

If we are adding any defender to the squad, it should be one that will be coming to provide experience(very important) and he should have quality.

he forgets that;

dopejemi only stated his preference,

Vidic & Ferdinand was moved on & need to be replaced,

Evra has been the weak-link for 3 seasons on the spin.

Agreed...

Not necessarily...

I'd say fellaini and carrick should at least be given a final chance to prove themselves in the coming season.(I expect at least one of them to click ).

The acquisition of a decent "backup" midfielder (who can do a good job) as a replacement for either or both of cleverley and Anderson, won't be a bad idea anyways..

SailorXY:

How on earth will These players improve our wing play when they aren't even orthodox wingers?

Moyes' failure was down to his tactical cluelessness-definitely not because he failed to make wholesome changes to a team that won the league by 11points the previous season.

I'm not saying we shouldn't overhaul the team- all I'm saying is that the process should be a gradual one.
