what about Marine engineers onboard ships? a third Engineer with his Officer of the watch (OOW) COC earns like 300-400k a month, a chief engineer onboard 500-1200grt Near coastal vessel earns lyk 600-700k a month, an a Nautical Science graduates with his Chief Mate unlimited COC or Masters Ticket earns like 800-1.5million a month, aside from their salaries these officers makes more money from illegal bunkering too... imagine selling 10tons of diesel after each voyage cheesy Mega Money!!! I don't wanna mention Captains nd Chief engineers onboard NLNG vessels...those guys r millionaire every months.. though marine engineering is under rated in Nigeria sad there are other short courses you can do to earn Mega millions in the Maritime and oil and gAs industry.... After I get my OOW ticket from NIMASA, I'm going to study how to become an ROV pilot... imagine earing 1.8m a month Jezz!!!!! that's crazy sad

adeoladrg: I presently don't have the CONHESS figures.

Community pharmacists work in the communities, while hospital pharmacists work in hospitals.

Thing is, due to the diverse nature of pharmacy, pharmacists don't just sit and do one job. I know one pharmacy graduate working in an industry paying about 140,000. Closes at 4pm and resumes a locum job at a community pharmacy for about 80K and also does drug detailing. At the same time, he used his certificate to register a premise for about 400K annually.
Well if this is actually thru, it then means that pharmacy is not as bad as I thought

alentyno: Av already started thAt was the BASIC salary while quoting samegreguc above. If you know the figures so well why don't you STATE it for all to see. It may be annoying considering what pharmacy students go thru in school but THATS THE BITTER TRUTH! Afterall isn't that the topic of this thread?
As for the engineers, 70% of workers in oil coys r engineers.
I disagree to agree.

Quite a number of speculations and wishful thinking. How much do they pay certified armed robbers and prostitutes per month. Define both in terms of profession.

Back to topic....what you earn depends exactly on you.

And pls all petroleum engineers in the house and their fellow geologists currently working in O&G can pls help us out
I am a Geologist with a major E&P company. Both engineers and geologists on same level receive similar basic salaries. There is what is called field allowance that varies according to location (either Onshore or offshore) of which offshore is usually higher. At month end what separates what u earn from dat of ur colleagues is how many days u spent at d field for dat month and whether it was onshore or offshore. And of course u know dat both geologists and engineers go to d field.

in a polytechnic??
Very very funny. I studied Computer Engineering at OAU and I have a Masters degree too in same field from the University of Portsmouth, UK. However, HND in Elect, Mech, Civil is bigger than B.sc Sociology. This is just simple common sense.
