II Thessalonians 2 (Here’s the paraphrase of verses 9-12):

9: This rebellion will come through the work of Satan himself, who will enable those who follow him to display all sorts of supernatural manifestations, miracles and convincing signs to prove that God is on their side – all of them lying wonders used to deceive.

10: There will be no limit to the ever-increasing deceptions and perversions Satan will use to seduce people into joining his rebellion, and these are the ones who are perishing because they refused to love the Truth so they could be saved.

That's a good test. It's different from sickness. God doesn't tempt with evil. If God ask you to do something ,it's different from bringing sickness upon you.

Thrash!!! Read the verse 8 and stop living in unbelief. Has the Man of sin come? Has the anti-Christ come? Scripture says he will come first before verse 9-12 happen.

NB: Scripture says THE man of sin and not A man of sin. So don't come back and tell us about men of sin.

This will continue till he who lets is taken out of the way then THE MAN of sin will arrive.

He that "let's" is the Church of Christ on earth. We are restraining Satan from unveiling the man of sin; the anti-christ. When we are taken out (the Rapture) that is when Satan will now be able to unleash his full wickedness and evil powers on the earth that will deceive many that are still on earth at the time.

BTW the preceding verses before verse 34 shows Jesus teaching people about the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. It is not coincidental that he related the fact that Pharisees accused him of using satanic powers to heal a man that was afflicted. He was telling them what they said was blasphemous to the person of the Holy Spirit: the one who actually performs the miracles. So keep making such insinuations and let's see where it will get you..

You need not go far back to a time when God dealt with His people through signs. Let the old remain the old, we are in the new. This is the administration of the Holy Spirit, the ministry of a comforter.

We are no more worshipping or serving God through rituals in a temple for safety and upkeep. we are Christians, we are the church who trust God in all things be it good or evil.

shdemidemi: that is where you are missing it, there is no prove to be shown. The anchor of our faith should be the word and not a display of miracles and wonders.


God has backed His word up through His divinity and through the foundation of the gospel of Christ. There is nothing more to prove to you or anyone else. God does not exist for us, we exist for God. FACT


The actual reason for miracles in the bible is because the Jews will not just take God at His word. Moses will ask for a sign, the people will ask for a sign because of their unbelief.

I believe every word written in the book knowing that my present afflictions and troubles are but for a moment. Why do I need miracle merchants like jo if I truly believe God's word?
