anybody can work in bank. even people that read Igbo, chemical engineering can work in banks

but Accountancy is a professional course , and they have more job opportunities than banking & finance.

I didn't read Accountancy o. just saying. Its not overrated.

A chemical engineer can work in a bank easily, but can't perform a professional accountant job.

I studied International Relations, but had no chance to work at d embassy. I ended up being a Land Surveyor/Property Consultant and as well into Politics.. What do u have to say to this?

Here are the few overrated courses in nigeria.


(1). Accounting
this course is overrated,i wonder why someone would spend years studying this course when my sister had B.sc in Biochemistry,went for a 7months training and she is now working in a bank.


(2). Microbiology
Don't need to say much about this,the course is quite tough though,but after spending 4 years studying it,most of them end up teaching.
mark my words not all microbiologist but most.


(3). Political science
I Don't need to say much about this course,because it's already speaking for itself.


(4).Business administration.
Only God knows how the peeps that studied this course gets employed.


(5).Pharmacy
yea,i know you might be surprised seeing this but it's true.
Most pharmacist end up opening a shop to sell drugs,but the few that are employed are paid in 6 zeros.

#I do not know where people get this ideology of bringing threads and counter threads of which course is best and which is least.

Nigeria is what is making those courses overrated. Think of it, if Nigeria invested money in science and research, the so called overrated microbiologist and pharmacist will be busy in the labs. How many pharmaceutical research companies do we have in Nigeria , all we do is import all the drugs, we even import from India smh.

Truth be told, if you at to base the rating of courses in the university on job prospects, 80% of courses we study are overatted.

I studied computer science, I guess it is overrated in Nigeria, because when seeking for job u hardly find a job that is a permanent job in this field.secondly most of d best computer wizards didn't even study computer science.
