Dear Nairalanders, please help me.

This scenario I'm about to share once occurred to me when I was young, and I had no choice than to friend zone them... It's like history is repeating itself.

I have this identical twins living at the far end of my street, they do pass the front of my hostel when going to school. They are both very beautiful, and I've fallen in love with one of them, now the problem I had then was identifying them, so I spent most of last semester checking them out and I found one to be a little bit fat and taller than the other one. I decided to go for the smaller one, cos she was my perfect figure. The tall fat I will call Joy while the short one that my heart long for is called Jane. *note* this is not their real name

They were both passing one faithful day and I decided to make my move, I summoned courage and approached them and this was how the conversation went...

Note: I only got the name of one of them then from a friend and I didn't know the name of the other one as at then

Me: hello
They: hi
Me: how was your day?
They: fine
Me: *expecting the short one to reply* sorry, which of you is Joy?
Joy (tall) : me, any problem?

My error......
Being confused and nervous, I turned to the short one, sorry, what's your name
She: Jane
Me: smiling sheepishly *totally confused and all format gone, I turned to Joy, being confused* can I see you for a moment? *And turning to * can you please excuse us? *Jane understands and try to go...
Joy: *turning to Jane* wait and then*turning to me* say what you want to say, *she decoding my intention*
Me: *heart misses rhythm of blood pumping* I smiled sheepishly and the only thing that came out of my mouth was 'okay, I will see you guys around' I turned and disappeared as fast as I could

At least I created awareness I muttered....

On another faithful evening, I saw one of them coming back from lectures, and I approached here, this is how the conversation went....

Me : hello princess
Her: hi

She not waiting, I walked faster just to catch up with her
Me: sorry, Joy or Jane?
She: jane
Me: *being a little excited, I made my move*em, why I stopped you girls that day was to... *.... *
Jane: before it was joy and now me? Yeah, I get it *increases trekking speed by 10mph* I increased mine just to follow up...
*knowing the scenario I've created, I changed the chat topic*
Me: I don't mean friends as in date, I just me casual friends bla bla bla
Jane: *gets more angry but controls herself* are you a student?
Me: yes
Jane what dept..... Bla bla bla
That was how we parted ways that day, and me telling her that I just wanted to be on a casual level with her, even though that was not my intention...
I thought of the next thing to do, now that I've got the issue more complicated. I made up my mind that if I see them together, I will make my intentions clear, or if I see Joy, I will send her to Jane which would hurt her feelings which I know, but I didn't care, as long as it's me and Jane, no problem. But things didn't work out the way I planned. I went to fetch water in the neighborhood one morning when one of my friend alerted me that one of the twin was passing by. Me wearing a single and a short, I didn't even notice my outfit, I went after her...

Me: *yelling* hello,
She: *turns back and waiting * good morning
Me: *noting her to be Joy* it's morning already, how was your night?
Joy: *Smiles* fine and yours?
Me: great, I had many dreams which I can't remember
Joy: sorry, I'm having a fix class this morning and I'm kinda late
Me : *wanting to leave* okay no problem
Joy: *smiling*so if it were to be Jane, you wouldn't have waited?
Me: *dumbfounded* *Smiles sheepishly* I don't know.... So why I called you the other day was to make you know that I wish us to be friends and most times I stand outside my house, my only intention is to see your face....
Joy: *excited* since you said you would love to be seeing my face so often, I'm inviting you to our winners cell meeting, I hope to see you there
Me: since you will be present, I would gladly come...
And then we departed.....

I noticed that anytime I'm with Joy, I'm always free, but it's not the same for me with Jane, I'm always getting nervous without cause and I think she loves me but she feels inferior, maybe joy has so many admirers in contrast to her... That's my own perspective views. Please is it possible to still go for Jane? Seeing that she's the one I prefer over joy?
