I don't rely on people to back me. I hardly get backing here. So chill.

He couldn't get stat because he was looking at a narrow angle. This is why those who look at the overall situation know who is who.

Madrid are ready to break the bank. grin
EPL players voted Hazard.
whoscored rated Hazard higher,

chances created are shits. cheesy

nihilist dumped you
sircumalot abandoned you

the only reason you are still arguing is because tsunami took your decorum almost 10 years ago.

van persie is the lead striker & falcao is in the hole?? grin cheesy our play was in the wing & rooney was in the hole hunting? grin cheesy

it's a bodybag season & i am dishing out caskets. this will teach you a lesson. the next time you bring up an idiötic opinion on this platform, your torture would be worse.

come & explain to us how all our wingers managed to create more chances than rooney(in the hole) in 2011/12? what happened to rooney that season? creeping neurosis? grin

* I never said Falcao is in the hole.

* In 2011/12 we had Valencia, Nani, Young, Giggs playing very actively all season. Our operation was from the wings. We had Young and Giggs taking set plays. Even Cleverley took set plays.

* The argument has been between you and I. Even some guys who started with you stopped posting since.

I watch the games. He is a beneficiary of the City set up. When he doesn't play and Aguero or Nasri is used as the number 10, or a different system entiry, City remains City in terms of goals, attacking threats, chances created etc.

I know he is a good player. But the City set up helps him so much. But I prefer Hazard. It's not a coincidence that players voted Hazrad twice and that Madrid want him.
The funny thing is Silva is the player that makes City tick and the reason behind whatever system they employed. Without him, there's no set-up!

Dude,
don't use me to score cheap points of Elampiro.
Elampiro has a strong claim here
Hazard has more goals and assist, and an EPL Team of the year.
If we start Isolating each of Hazard performances a different picture will present itself.
Silva got Overshadowed by a Yaya toure in the best form of his life.

rooney also took setplays - perhaps more than the wingers. this excuse is watery. did valencia take setplays? how did he manage to create more chances than rooney?

so if all the creativity is happening from the flanks, why then would you think rooney was in the hole to the point of posting less key passes than young & valencia?

stop disgracing yourself, the newbies are reading. grin

Shirley07:
You know what? I would have let you be, if you had said in the beginning that Suarez played a false 9 role for Liverpool but you said Suarez was the lead striker.

When you say a player is a False 9, it means he doesn't occupy a no 9 position but he's still required to do a no 9 job. For example, amoeba has a psuedo/false feet which means it doesn't have a true feet but that psuedo feet is still required to do the job of a true feet. The truth is Suarez was a forward for Liverpool, not a lead striker. And I repeat, false 9 is synonymous to SS because they offers the same thing.
As for Rooney, no amount of spraying long ball to the wing and sprinting like an headless chicken to receive the return pass will make him like a false 9/SS.
To be fair to him, he's been okay the few time he was deployed behind Rvp and Falcao but his display is still nothing like an SS.
If you agreed Suarez was a false 9, then why do you still argue? Good you have long dropped your submission he played from the wing.

I think you are confusing yourself with your use of false 9 and SS. They are two different things. See below:
...............................................

The False 9, in some ways, similar to a more advanced attacking midfielder/playmaker role, is an unconventional lone striker or centre-forward, who drops deep into midfield. The purpose of this is that it creates a problem for opposing centre-backs who can either follow him, leaving space behind them for onrushing midfielders, forwards or wingers to exploit, or leaving him to have time and space to dribble or pick out a pass.

Key attributes for a False 9 are similar to those of a deep-lying striker; dribbling ability to take advantage of space between the lines, good short passing ability to link up with the midfield and vision to play through team-mates making runs from deep to goal.

Matthias Sindelar was arguably the first False 9, playing in the Austrian national team in the 1930s.[7] A False 9 was also utilized by the Hungarian national team during the beginning of the 1950s, with striker Nándor Hidegkuti acting in the role.

Roma under manager Luciano Spalletti used Francesco Totti, nominally a trequartista, up-front in an innovative "4–6–0" formation;[8][9] this was met with a run of 11 consecutive victories.

Arsenal under Arsène Wenger utilised Robin van Persie as a False 9, often partnering with Theo Walcott who would move into the box from the flanks, in a false 4–2–3–1.

At Euro 2012, Spain manager Vicente del Bosque, although sometimes using a typical striker in Fernando Torres, used a false 9 in Cesc Fabregas in several matches, including the final
. By the end of 2012, the False 9 had gone 'mainstream' with many clubs employing a version of the system. Barcelona's Lionel Messi has been an exponent of the false 9 position to much success in recent years, first under coach Pep Guardiola and later under Tito Vilanova.[10]
......................................

* In the example above, would you say Walcott was the lead striker and RVP a winger/SS? NOW PROBLEM IS SOLVED.

You are putting words in my mouth. The perfect example I gave was RVP and Robben. As for assists, they came from the wingers because we relied from supply from the wings. I know Rooney didnt take much set plays as compared to 2012/13 to 2013/14 where he took almost half of them when he played.

and your brain cannot process that it was the same set up in 11/12 when rooney & welbeck/chicha started in the attack? stop disgracing yourself, boy.

i don't care about assists - i care more about the created chances. if rooney had created more than 4 of our wingers then i will accept his key-passes were wasted. but for rooney to create less than young? valencia? nani? while operating in the hole? that's just bullshyte!

it can never happen.

Shirley must have read from her source or complete sports or DSTV analysts that Suarez was used as false 9 for Liverpool. Then she concluded that Suarez operated as a second striker. grin

Robin van Persie is the latest injury concern for Manchester United.
Voetbal International say that Van Persie didn't take part in the training session after the Dutch squad had warmed up. Instead he returned inside the training facility complex.
There is no claim on any specific injury to either Van Persie.
Holland face Kazakhstan on Friday and then Iceland three days later. Should there be a problem with Van Persie then Van Gaal will hope his replacement as Dutch coach Guus Hiddink will keep the striker out.
However, there's still the worry hanging over the long term fitness of Van Persie.

silva is the best city player.
yaya toure can't even come near. aguero's injury & balotelli's exit padded up toure's stats last season. who is toure?

if ramsey took all arsenal's setpiece last season, he woulda scored 40 goals. toure is just a bully that knows how to shoot. nothing else.

chicha has a limited skill set. Even in his worst season Benzema hits double digits in both gOals and assists.

Van Persie has been injured since returning from his trip or should I say during or before the world cup. He is just playing for United to keep his place in the team as he is scared of loosing it. Let's wait and see what the tabloids would say about this and i hope it isn't true either. It would be a blow to our team. Seems the Injury god has remembered manchester united.
