I am not seeking for advice. I have mastered the act of doing things my way. The way I am wired makes it next to impossible for me to be emotional and I have no qualms about that.

A sanguine is an outgoing person who is excited by being among people, he is easily bored when there is no activity to engage in. Yeah, he's got lots of energy to spare. He has no difficulty expressing his feelings. When he's angry, you know and when he's happy, it's also very obvious ('cos he can just throw up a party to show his happiness). He may not be so much interested in deep intellectual talk (not in all cases though) but he likes small talks like discussing about the weather and things like that.
But what you describe yourself as is a picture of a melancholy. He is the quiet type who does most of his talking in his head. Yeah, he thinks a lot and likes to engage in deep and intellectual conversations. He can stay alone for days and not get bored. He is not so easy to 'read' when compared with the sanguine. You may not know when he's happy or sad because his default expression is 'blank'. He could be experiencing intense joy on the inside but the best he may do to show it would be just a smile (no, he won't go jumping up and down, screaming in excitement). He likes depth in whatever he does. Cool music playing in the background and a book in hand is a perfect way to spend the day. How did you gain admission into university, were you not excited when your name was published?

Your first date? Were you not excited and nervous at the same time?

If you did not feel any of the above then you need your heart checked.

I have no child yet and when I do, I will be excited but not shouting and jumping up and down.
I got admission into 3 universities at the same time. I was 20 then and saw myself as very old so I was not excited and did not even do matric.
My first date? I was 20 too and it just happened though when I first felt love, I was excited about meeting the person and I still do but I am not head over heels. Hope I am normal to you?
