I dont know why the NFA took an international game to a stadium thats in the middle of nowhere?

and 30k capacity, is that the best Nigeria could come up with?

Akwa Ibom or Uyo is not a football crazy city and its not central for all the fans to get to..

Nigeria needs a stadium that will create a hostile atmosphere for the opposition, not one that will make our opponent feel like they are playing at home.

You call Uyo middle of no where? Is Sani Abacha Stadium or Lekan Salami stadium in the middle of somewhere? Now name one stadium in Nigeria that has standard natural grass on its turf that is in the middle of somewhere? Mind your language.

Whats bad belle got to do with anything... Why play an international game in a 30k arena when we have a 60k stadium sitting in central part of Nigeria

Pls can u mention any football game played in abuja by d SE that had a full capacity?

When last did u travel to any part of d country to watch d SE play? The europeans do that often.

Economically, can u get up to 30 000 people to buy tickets for a qualifier/friendly in any city in d country? Each time we had such a crowd, it's because d govt offered free entry to people.

Exept England, how many european football powerhouse play national games in a particular stadium? Consider italy, spain, germany, france, etc.

The national team belongs to every Nigerian. Therefore I don't buy d idea of playing in one particular area. Any state that boost gud infrastructure shld be given d oppurtunity to host d SE matches. The national stadium might be reserved 4 big matches and on special occassions.

Grande.

Bad Belle. You didnt complain when the SE were playing in calabar which has 12k capacity. Learn to appreciate, stop being a hater. This is the best stadium in Nigeria.
It's definitely NOT the best stadium in Nigeria. That would be the National Stadium, Abuja (below).

Thats my point, Its like England leaving Wembley to go and play at Hull City stadium

B4 d construction of d new wembley we have today, England play matches in stadia across d country and they always had d studium filled to capacity. Reason because football belongs to d fans/masses and nt d londoners only. The locals are always excited when d national team is brought to their locality, We see this happening in other parts of europe. England play all their games in wembley presently 'cos their's a contract keeping them there 'til 2017. Mind u d English FA has plans to review that at d end of d contract. Wembley currently doesn't get filled up especially if England is playing against d so called small teams.

The only edge I think Abuja has, over the Uyo stadium is capacity. Abuja is just as fine, but in my opinion (I've been in both: Uyo, last week)Uyo has better aesthetics. It lights up in different colours like the allianze Arena at night.

This stadium has to be amongst the most beautiful in Africa! I'm also glad that the AKSG signed a 10-yr maintenance agreement with JB; that is good thinking on the part of the Governor.

Finally, Enyeama will get to play in front of his kinsmen in his home state cheesy

The English FA better keep England in Wembley. The £700 million spent on that stadium has to be recouped. I also read that the FA is considering the idea of hosting some American NFL matches in Wembley- that should increase their revenues.

Anyway, I'm in favor of alternating Super Eagles matches between Abuja and Uyo, just like the Spain, Germany and the USA do.

Do South Africans play soccer in the first place? This is not Rugby! I hope our team would give 10 - 0 in Uyo new stadium for the opening celebration.
