ya! Its true... But, pls make me understand how you got the formula, since there is no '2' in the question.
Thanks
two formulas for finding average speed.
1. A.v=distance/time
2. A.v=(u+v)/2
both would give u same answer but if distance and time were given in the questn it is adviceable u use the ist one but if only initial and final velocty were given u should go for the 2nd formula.... Coz of time factor!....so it depends on the questn.

I did this one: 321*25 in base six = 13305six. pls check if i'm right
Nice....Very correct...
Re: Jamb Lecture/past Questions For Science/art Students by Segipaul: 9:04am On Oct 11, 2014
on how it was gotten...
Distance(s)=t(u+v)/2....
But average speed=distance/time
therefore A.v =t(u+v)/t x 2
of coz u knw t wil cancel out t
A.V = (u+v)/2
hope it's clear now

Thanks. Can u pls solve n explain this one: m & n are non-zero digits such that mmmfour =nneight. find m & n.
Change mmm(base 4) to base 10....Also change nn(base 8 )to base 10...U will have:
21m(base 10)=9n(base 10)
From the above, we have that:
m/n = 9/21..When u divide further; m/n=3/7...Hence m=3 and n=7...Please if u have d answer, check if it tallies... U can also substitute d values of m and n back into the equation to confirm...Pls u can let me know if u didn't get d explanation...

Divide both sides by 21n ( the 21 to remove the coefficient from m while the n to bring the unknown variables m and n together)

Someone should answer this.
I think d answer is "infinite"...Dix requires more of an explanation than calculation..Immediately d circuit is closed, current starts flowing through d capacitor and resistor, d emf of d capacitor starts increasing and d opposition of the capacitor to current increases until infinity and no more current passes through d circuit..

After doing what mathefaro said,
You may simply take it as; numerator(on left side)=numerator( on ryt side) and denominator(on left side)= denominator(on ryt side)...
