Even though it symbolises passion, I think going on hunger strike is obviously unstainable and uncalled for. Because the team is so weak that the coach does not know whom to invite to the national team.

The snail and unchanging brat should go bush jare.Let put in better playmaker like pirlo,jayjay,obodo,Wilson oruma,rivaldo,romario,Ronadinho and other great midfield metros.Mikel is an adamant unchanging guy,not even improving as he should.

Pls i'm not part of d lot that want Mikel to be benched today bcs i dont see any player in d camp displace him.Mikel can only be bench when we have player like Haruna or ihenancho in d future not mediocre like Igiebor in d camp.D issue is not Mikel but SE beating Sudan shikena.Even a lot dont want Nigeria to win seeing Mikel in d lineup,forgetting Super Eagle is not Mikel.

Stephen Keshi's men will be targeting an
away victory after finding themselves
winless after their two opening games.
Sudan are in a similar position, that is
without a win, having lost to South Africa
at home and Congo-Brazzaville away.
The Super Eagles however did manage a
draw in their match away to South Africa,
after losing at home to Congo-Brazzaville
in their opening encounter.

returned to the Super Eagles XI after
being unavailable for the first two

Much as I am an enthusiastic supporter of the Super Eagles, I am not excited about this match, nor do I even expect our team to do well. Even if we win, chances are that we will be playing the old, drab, ponderous, and hypertension-inducing style orchestrated by Mikel Obi and lifted straight by Keshi from the books of Ahmodu Shaibu. For those who might not know, it is a brand of football in which it takes our team approximately half an hour to move the ball from our own half of the field to the opponents' goal area.

The most annoying part of this situation is that most people seem oblivious of this retrogessive trend. Many Nigerians have become blinded to the fact that our team has achieved nothing since the serrendipitous AFCON triumph. It puzzles me that any right-thinking person could claim that Keshi is the best coach that Nigeria can afford or even the best indigenous coach in a country of 170 million people! Sudan knock Eagles out of Nations Cup, win 1-0

Sudan on Saturday effectively put paid to any desire of Nigeria to defend their title at the African Cup of Nations in Morocco next year by beating the Super Eagles 1-0 in Khartoum.

The pathetic Eagles, which had lost 2-3 to Congo in the Group A qualifier opener in Calabar before escaping with a 0-0 scoreline against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, could not equalise a 42nd minute goal scored by the Sundanese on Saturday, in a match the Nigerians were expected to win to have any chance of picking a ticket to Morocco.

The Eagles will play a reverse group qualifying match against Sudan in Abuja on Wednesday.

South Africa shot the the top of the group table with an emphatic 2-0 win over host Congo in Brazzaville on Saturday.

The Bafana Bafana have seven points followed by Congo with six points while Sudan occupy the third position with three points while Nigeria have one point to stay rooted to the bottom of the group’s table.
