this is one of the reasons I am sceptical about dream of productive and prosperous Nigeria when we can't even alleviate the sufferings of the poor masses. Imagine a Trunk A road so dilapidated and someone would tell me that this govt have the masses at heart. Here are the images of the hell Owerri/Ph commuters pass through while on transit 3 Likes

OP, hold on for Jonathan's fans to explain this. the PH axis was done by the very same governor they have been insulting here. the rivers state govt is YET to be refunded for it. the rot is too much yet sane Nigerians capable of using their brains have SWORN to return this man in 2015. the federal govt can't even construct and maintain the two roads leading to their cash cows apapa road and eleme-onne road. NUPENG just ended a strike in PH protesting the terrible onne road and the consequent loss of lives. when we begin to vote out of sentiments,we are in trouble. 9 Likes |

Topics like this should be put on the frontpage to drag the attention of the PDP leadership to fix this road instantly for the sake of 2015 campaign... If there is enough awareness on the state of this road and also the Aba-Ikot ekpene road, it would force the present administration to do something about it before 2015. As for the irrational support of Igbos for the present administration, I believe it is due to a hatred for the domineering attitude of the north and not necessarily due to any special achievements. 5 Likes |

Obiagelli: I believe South Easterners are mostly educated old and young adults who know what they want. If you want them, give them the sense of belonging and not necessarily monuments and see if they won't follow you. Don't forget we believe in capitalism where charity and philanthropism are better left in the hands of individuals and cooperate bodies and not necessarily on government. For a start, why didn't APC zone the presidential ticket to South East to counter the notion and dissuade their fears that it is not a Northern agenda as they defined it? Gov. Rochas Okorocha openly canvass for APC on the specific term that they must give either the President or Vice to Ndigbo and it seems he lied to us. You see, we are not fools to forget the differences created by the civil war without actual reconciliation. Secondly, we know that we live in the tropical rain forest belt were the soil texture is so porous to withstand heavy duty vehicles plying on our roads notwithstanding the number of times the roads are reconstructed hence the need for rail and sea transportation to easy the burdens on our porous roads. Who will give us the rail? Buhari is known to be a railway destroyer Who will develop the seaport/river ports? Goodluck is trying with the little budget earmarked for SouthEast from Federal budget. Nigeria under GEJ has a specific mandate to redistribute the National resources across every zone and not only the President's electoral base hence the need to stop over emphasising South East region as their votes alone can't get any candidate the Presidential mandate. 9 Likes |

Ngwakwe: The same Okorocha that has become SE enemy number one from the very first day he joined the Apc. Rochas has been relegated to the back for this reason. The Apc tested the waters by putting him in charge of Ngige's campaign, what was the SE's reaction? They will not vote yoruba party. why didn't the pdp offer the SE their ticket? I agree with the statement "give them a sense of belonging" or more like play on their emotion, the SE was the stronghold for ibb, Abacha and obj so i am not surprised. Emotions. Every other thing in your post just displays EMOTION. 9 Likes |

Ngwakwe: My Brother,Quit Sermonising jare....we are not at Success Camp or Kampus Koinonia Let this sink in No party worth its name will give an unwilling people its ticket Please tell us, when did the PDP that the Igbos presently support say it will give its Presidential ticket to the South East? You sheepishly follow a party that you have not been able to extract any concrete promise from yet you guys want to use empty bravado to dictate to APC? To the fellow saying to put this on the fp so the fed govt can see it fix it and use it for campaign im highly disappointed ur comment reeks of sentimentality why hasnt that road been fixed for over how many years now...same can be said about the onitsha/enugu road its a complete eyesore. ..we igbos have to really question ourselves on what we really do want cus we are constantly and at a rapid rate being marginalised in this country...im sure most of the people saying the apc should give their ticket to an igbo man will still not vote for dat person when the time comes maybe cus his running mate is a northerner...we really should learn to stop playing the ethnic card in the south-east cus its actually not leading us anywhere...just my opinion though 4 Likes |

Obiagelli: Continue living in the past when few Elites had a voice and danced on the basis of highest bidders. Nigeria has evolved in every strata of the society and every politician knows this except those who thought the past was true reflection of the peoples will when you can use manipulations where we are made to believe Obasanjo had 80% of South East votes to Ojukwu's 18% The Scepticism of S.Easterners is just a normal human behaviour which only trust can resolve hence the South East has the right to question a relationship or partnership. The question is what the opposition had offered to dissuade the fears and the answers they can offer to the peoples question than these outright blackmail The act of blackmail and senseless questioning of the peoples right to choose are killing the opposition chances of having a foothold in the South East 1 Like |

Segeggs:young man, for information I am from Aanmbra state and a lover of good government who could provide the basic amenities of the masses. These roads in the south-east that have today become an eyesore shouldn't be used for campaign but a compulsory duty of the govt to provide. I am ashamed when our governors and President be it PDP or APC use road construction as a campaign strategy. I ply the east and south-south very well and when you travel from Enugu/Ph you would regret ever travelling or is it the Onitsha/Enugu which is a death trap of its own. I shudder when I see our youths praise nonperforming public servants due to the tiny left overs they get from govt coffers. Have in mind I am a card carrying member of PDP and a supporter of good policies be it done by an APC or PDP govt. 2 Likes |

Ngwakwe: Well you are entitled to your own beliefs but the good question is what has the Apc offered other regions that it has not offered the SE 2. What has gej offered the SE that he hasn't offered other regions. 3. Why eggs in one basket? Okorocha gave an opportunity to diversify, why did the SE turn it down. Btw the whole of the Apc was in Imo last week, they were also there for Ngige. 4 Likes |

soroptimist: How can they lose when the poverty rate in the East is the least in Nigeria? We are not Socialists and are satisfied to make a choice and damn the consequences. Your sermon is the reason GEJ will be re-elected with 95% of South East votes and every where the Igbo live in Nigeria 2 Likes |

darlingtonNYIG: You must be a Yoruba from the West, with Anambra ibo name and post, right? Iboland has no problems and all the roads remind me of the highways in the oil city of Texas. Even the oil cities of Calgary are small roads compared to these highways in the paradise of iboland. Are you sure you did not photoshop these photos or is it augmented reality? Be honest for once...this cannot be iboland and you are not from Ananbra State. |

Obiagelli: GEJ offered South East respect and recognition. Rochas Okorocha is just being selfish with his Presidential ambition and has no political clout to drive South East without due consultation. Having mistaken South East for Northern Nigeria he grew resulting in suspicion, he moved further by creating enmity between South East States and refusing to attend regional meetings and bilateral summits between South South and South East Governors in the name of opposition. It take wisdom and not pride and self importance to win hearts and minds. 3 Likes |

Jonathan and his friends take Igbos for fool. I'm far too intelligent to fall for their pranks. The way they left all the federal roads leading in and out of Aba to rot while using media to blame the compromised Governor is the epitome of "Oye sir masa". Igbos are used as the weapons in destroying Igboland and they readilly do that for money. Peter Obi, Arthur Eze and Emeka Offor are some of them. |
