[color=#990000][/color]Hello my fellow nairalanders...I decided to bring about this topic here on nairaland due to my friends view 'bou it when we discussed it in the room lastnyt...the term 'foot wagen' guys in my topic is a popular term used for guys who transport theirselves tru commercial means or wit their foot depending on the distance!!! It all started when a friend came and narrated how her day went.. that she met this tall and handsome dude during midweek service on wednesday in which they exchange their digitz nd they chatted up during d week till they met again after service yesterday which they discussed how they could meet privately to know each other better...so they both agreed to av a date in a well known eatery..the guy called her later in the evening to let her know he is already there waiting for her there... Fastforward...she really had a nice time with him and they were set to leave the place for their various destinations when d guy asked her if he could drop her at her place..she didn't refuse it ..she was still standing when she saw the guy moving towards a jincheng motorcycle parked at one corner.she couldn't believe it until he saw him on it starting it..she cud nt believe her eye so she had to go meet him nd tell him he sud'nt bother himself..tho,she said she could see dissapointment in his face buh she cnt jz allow him drop him in d hostel where all eyes cud see him!telling him she wud prefer a commercial 'bike... After she discussed this,come see d ladies views for hostel...they all supported her action.buh d guys in d building didn't anyway... I will be glad to see reasonable comment!! especially from fellow ladies..guys are not opted out too anyway! Note:pls do not mind my shorthands of any form.. nd av a nyc day ahead!!! 1 Like |

I think it's a matter of societal status as modernity sets in. A power bike for example will have a more positive impact on ladies compared to the normal motorcycle we are familiar with, mostly associated with local transport. In a nutshell, ladies don't like cabu cabu motorcycles as far as date is concerned. In any case, using a public means of transport is far better than a motorcycle. 2 Likes |

Cutehector4u:No. She probably is not a materialistic person. The thing you have to understand is that there is already a stereotype about people on motor cycles (as I would like to call it) be it either a private or a commercial one. If you travel outside your country, especially in the western world and not just africa, you would even see ladies carrying their bfs on their motocycles. Its just normal. we never grew up with that mentality that bikes(okada) is for commuting from point A to B. The idea is that its just for commercial purposes. I ask you a question, who would like to date a bike man or someone that looks like him? Lol |
