Just like in the days of old, TAN is 'working' in partnership with Alhaji Dangote as his own campaign contribution for GEJ .................
After 2015 elections, the price would return to its normal 4k per bag!!!!

IT IS TRUE , NEVER BELIEVED THE MAN CALL DANGOTE UNTILL U BUY ONE
ducii:
The True Reason Why Dangote Slashed Cement Prices Revealed

Africa’s largest cement producer, Dangote Cement Plc has slashed local cement prices to N1,000 ($6) and N1,150 ($7), for different grades. The cement giant is keen to consolidate its position as not only Africa’s top cement maker, but the leading provider in the continent’s largest economy, Nigeria.

The current market price for a 50kg bag of the 32.5 grade and 42.5 grade retails for N1,700 ($10.3), 40 percent higher than Dangote’s latest offer. This is the lowest cement price offered consumers since 2005, and ups the ante in what is considered one of the continent’s more competitive markets.

Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement, Devakumar Edwin said the price cut was aimed at supporting the government’s ongoing effort to shrink housing deficit, which currently stands at an estimated 17 million.

“One of the ways of addressing the issue (huge infrastructure and housing deficit) is bringing the price of building materials down to much more affordable levels, especially cement, which is within our own control as part of our contribution to the transformation agenda of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration and the attainment of key milestones in the Millennium Development Goals,” Edwin said.

Since the backward integration policy for cement was implemented in 2002, local production capacity of the product has increased from less than 3 million metric tonnes per annum to about 38 million metric tonnes per annum, and nearly $20 billion has been injected into the Nigerian cement industry with Dangote – Africa’s richest man and owner of the Dangote Group – accounting for 60 percent of that investment.

With market capitalization surging beyond $22 billion, Dangote Cement is Nigeria’s most capitalized listed company and the first to hit $20 billion capitalization mark.

All these ediotas with their doomsday analysis and paranoia think Dangote decided to crash cement price because of elections as if it is a charity organization. Dumbos, it is a business and pricing can be used to gain advantage over competitors.

All these hate mongers and their politically brainwashed ranting always find a way to turn a good news to a bad one once it purports to put the government in good light..... Opposition in this country is just petty and lacking in substance, people wishing evil on their fellow country me just so they can use it as a talking point to justify why they need a change in government.

There is nothing wrong in opposition politics in itself but the idea of seeing only wrong and wishing malevolence on the government is petty and hypocritical. People should discuss issues and leave all these petty politics.

Nigerians are the most gullible I have seen.

Those of you praising Dangote and Jonathan will come back here to curse them when you can't afford that same commodity at #2,200 per bag come March 2015.

You really think Dangote is that daft? He does nothing just for the sake of it or for the sake of Nigerians, he is only after his own pocket, fame, power and influence. I respect his strive actually, he is super industrious.
Anyway, in a nutshell, Dangote will get his money back later.

Dangote bring down the price of cement, not 10% lower, not 20% lower, not 30% but 40% lower to appreciate the Transformation Agenda.
TAN is sponsored by Uba

If these billionaire investors can say YES, then its a vote of confidence.

With GEJ, manufacturing is secured, Economy is secured.

then after fixing the price the competitors will come back. simple. Remember that this price slash is not inclusive of VAT. Maybe Dangote doesn't have a sinister motive behind this. Why are we Nigerians always so cynical?
