On Wednesday evening, the Blues' showing was certainly not befitting of a team that has ambitions to be winning the competition. Fingers will be pointed at some poor officiating, but that can't excuse the shambolic display that saw the hosts lose to the supposed weakest team in the group and barely test the opposition goalkeeper.

it will take a while before they get used to playing in europe. they don't even have a hostile atmosphere to threaten their opponents like you would get at anfield, OT, allianz arena or the emirates.

chelsea were already a european powerhouse before roman took over in 2003. they had money to spend and the sudden boost was a plus to the european experience they already had. city were nobodies when the abu dhabi boys took over - you can't just expect them to buy here & there and become a european giant overnight!

PSG, malaga, monaco are also clubs that had a billionaire taking over them.....how many times has any of them won in europe despite the millions they have spent? i hate man city than lucifer himself but it's harsh to compare them to real madrid just because they are the biggest spenders in the EPL.

The ref was just wicked. Wernbloom pulled Aguero for over 3 yards and when Aguero was about to enter the box, he pulled him down with power. The ref was right there. That should have been a second yellow and 10 vs 10 from there on.

spurs topped their group ahead of inter & a certain club in germany i am so ashamed to mention and they reached the q/finals at the expense of ac milan. it's not about getting to the q/finals or topping the group - it's about getting to the semis & above plus having a nice showing.
