Its true. Light has improved in my area. Its almost 24hrs now. B4 it was like 20hrs.

Maybe for U. But for me in my area, Satellite Town in Lagos, power has increased drastically. I no longer buy fuel for my gen set. Without exaggerating words, I now enjoy 23 hours of uninterrupted power. Best ever i've seen.

Whatever has been done by the present government should pls be sustained.

This news could be true... There have been light for some weeks now, only interrupted for a few minutes. They have to be commended for this development.

It is still not good enough.

We have a need of 13000MW.....and we are not generating that. And we are still too dependent on hydroelectric dams that are of no use during the dry season.

Anyway....I have said it before....the government must go NUCLEAR. If underdeveloped India and Pakistan have nuclear power....WHY NOT NIGERIA.?

Electricity generation always improve by this time of the year. And it's normal for electricity generation to improve during rainy season because Kainji dam is pumping at maximum capacity. Wait till dry season.

oga na true u talk...we have light in mando since the day before yesterday without nepa taking it...we now enjoy 22hrs of electricity in mando.

It is a shame. Real shame. South Africa with 50 million people is generating 40,000-50,000mW, and the 'giant of Africa' is rolling out the drums, holding a press conference to celebrate 4,600mW for 170 million people! What a country! What a leadership and more unfortunately, what a docile, cheap, tribalistic, "religiosity-imbued", easily-appeased followership!

This so-called 4,600 mW is not reflecting in power supply in at least one third of Lagos. No change. We still run generators almost for the entire day...

That any sane Nigerian will support PDP at the Federal level since 1999 (I support and admire few PDP Governors who are doing well) is the height of irrationality. Only people who are benefitting from (or whose family members are benefitting from) the rot in Nigeria will support PDP at the Federal level! And of course the tribalistic, religiously-blinded 'follow-follow' Nigerians
