Culturally speaking Senegal and Gambia have a lot in common, as does Sierra Leone and Guinea as does Niger and Nigeria.

Sorry language is the tied that bind, especially when it comes to English and french. For instance in America when you go to a Nigerian party or Sierra leone party. 99.9% of the guest will be anglophone countries. Most francophone countries stick together and most anglophone countries stick together.

Ghana share tribes with Togo, Burkina and Ivory Coast and our culture are similar but we have more in common with Liberia, Nigeria than those three countries.

However, if I was going to host a Fulani party, I could easily invite people from Niger and Cameroon.....why? They speak the same Fulani dialect as me it's 99.9% mutually intelligible.

Now take a look at the Hausa, they can easily host a Hausa party for people in Niger as well. The cultures are very similar, but if you are someone who grew up in the city and all you speak is English or French, then I can understand where you are coming from.

Niger has Fulani like we do, Hausa like we do, Tuaregs like we do, Kanuri (Beri-Beri) like we do, Zarma/Songhai like we do. We have all the same ethnic groups, and you are right, the difference is that ideology wise Niger is better, I won't deny that, Nigeria is a bit too morally corrupt and Western influenced these days. Niger like you said is also more peaceful, though when our parents were growing up Nigeria was peaceful. My father told me that in the 60s and 70s, even in the 80s that Nigeria was quite peaceful. Yah absolutely, that's a big part of it, the money is what corrupts Nigeria, as well as the lack of showing love to your fellow man/woman. If we truly cared about the well being of one another in Nigeria, we would want to best for everyone. In this case, Niger does have superior ethics and morals than we do. They seem more humble and down to earth.

I think the majority of people here on Nairaland know he's an epic troll and know that he doesn't represent the Somali people. I think I can speak on behalf of the NL community and say that most people on here like you and E-soul.

yea, the bigger picture is we lack the much needed education to build and sustained a great society... I am not a religious person by religion has always been a tool for mental slavery so many elites together with religious leader have been using it to control Nigeria politics, hence the region only have superiority in politics but lack economical, social and technological development

E-soul is a likeable and peaceful person. However, I've had a quite few bust-ups with certain members because of their bigotry. I don't like bullshitters and pseudo-intellectuals who usually have a lot to say about Somali people.

I think you would love Mali (Bamako) and the Bambara people. Mali is a beautiful country, Senegal is as well. I think the entire African continent is amazing with amazing people, we just need to find a way to make the continent as a whole stronger.

Nothing wrong with not being religious. I'm a Muslim myself, but I do place a high value on math, science and technology. I don't think lack of education is Nigeria's problem, I think it stems from extremely poor corruption. Yes, we do know of the Hausa Almajiri system which I think is outdated and holds children back from being great. I do agree that we need to find a way to be competitive with South Korea, China, United States, etc. within the next 10 to 15 years ( I mean be neck and neck with them during this time period).

yea I intentionally put Dakar ( senegal) and bamako ( mali) together because both should be one country...they started as one nation after independent from france, then as mali federation. Too many small countries in Africa, these countries cannot sustained large economic and industrial development. A starting point will be Ecowas common currency

We need more people like you in Yan Arewa, we need to continue developing our education system from Maiduguri to Kaduna and from Adamawa to Sokoto.
