Oh dear, sorry to wake you up with such sad news but it's as true as it is sad. Our mentor, pastor, preacher and figure, Pastor Myles Monroe is dead.

He and his wife died in a plane crash yesterday (November 9, 2014) and it has already been updated on Wikipedia

And if you're having troubles remembering who Myles Monroe is, this face should jog your memory

At the moment, heart-felt condolences avalanche his Facebook and Twitter pages. It's indeed a great loss and not only Christians alone feel this pain. He died aged 60.

Very little understanding of the things of God. Christianity is and remains a faith. I always say this. It is not the 'results' that matter. It is the process. I often hear people say, they only live to make heaven. Well the bible says of Jesus. This is my Son in whom I'm well pleased, speaking of Jesus. There is no Christian, Christianity or believer in heaven. What makes us is our faith here on earth. That despite these things we remain resolute in our trust, walk and worship of God Almighty.

Contrary to popular belief, my opinion after several years of walk with God is this: there is nothing on earth a Christian cannot possibly experience. Ours is not a faith that shields from any and every eventuality all the time. Trials and temptations do and will come in various ways but the truth is that we glorify God by being His DESPITE it all.

God knew this will happen to the Munroes before they were born. He is the same God that made Munroe what he is today so we cannot say He was partial, insensitive or wrong not to warn him of it or as some say prevent it. If Munroe had a calendar before him with a set date with death will he have been the Munroe we know, certainly not for his life will not be one of peace, joy, faith, love and other beautiful fruits of Christianity but that of constant fear, dread and sadness at the coming calamity. His life will be messed up. This is another misconception in Christianity, that Jesus died and by violence so no Christian should. What do we say of Paul's writings to the Romans then. What God did in Christ that we are exempted from is the dread of death that only Jesus ever had to endure by 'knowing' when and how it will happen and still trusting God at His Word. No Christian today has to exercise that sort of faith thanks to Christ.

We have a chance at trusting God and walking by faith because there are certain things we cannot know and cannot do. Anything contrary is just spiritual rascality. No matter how loving you are as a parent you will never be able to tell your child everything about life and living but you will want that child to trust you in every decision even though sometimes it hurts.

Faith pleases God.

A congregation confused, not knowing what to believe

Is this God's will?
I read of Abraham and the fathers of faith calling their children and blessing them one by one when it was time to die
I didn't read them falling off a donkey and trampled under feet by a horde of wildebeest or eaten by animals

If inspirational talking, ways of making money and seed sowing is actually a ministry instituted by Jesus then he is sure a resounding success in that with practical proofs. Private jets, multimilliondollar estates and a worldwidefollowing

There are sure lessons to be learnt. No man no matter the worldwide following he may have accrued should arrogate himself the position of God under whatever guise.
God is nobody'sage mate. Oyedepo, Oyakhilome and co. should please take note and make amendment where necessary
