barcanista: Jonathan the fool exposed all over again. Anyway, thus is not difficult to understand. 2011 was an election year. We knew the thousands of dollars Jonathan gave delegates of the killer party in eagle square to secure their support. Surely these money didn't come from otuokpe neither did it come from one father Xmas entrepreneur. Stella oduahs company for instance was later indicted for subsidy fraud, this Stella was also in charge of the neighbour to neighbour bullshit in vogue then. So u see, in Jonathan opinion, it's money well spent strictly for his selfish ambition. Expect worse more in 2015. |

Subsidy scam: Court bars EFCC from prosecuting Ifeanyi UbahSo you can address a petition to the federal representaTHIEF for your constituency or share FRESH information with the police (SFU) and EFCC on the matter. Once again your PROPAGANDA attempt that is built on half-truths and outright LIES has been revealed for the SCAM that it is. ![]() As I advised you earlier, permit me to advise you yet again => Get real!!! |

| Re: mODIFIED by Nobody: 11:42am On Nov 11, 2014 |
anonimi:Anonimi have started again, according to your article, UBAH was not completely exonerated. He was awarded N10million for "being in custody beyond 24 hours" in the first article. The court also ruled that Ogunsakin of the Special Fraud Unit cannot Prosecute Ubah because he was a Member of the Presidential Committee NOT because Ubah was innocent. Your second Article boil down to restraining Injunction and not acquittal. Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah should stop exploiting the court and face his trila. If he was Innocent, he won't opt of a perpetual Injucntion. Read Well Subsidy scam: Court bars EFCC from prosecuting Ifeanyi UbahAnd not even the February Judgement exonerated him. The judgement of Feb 2013 is very clear... In quashing the report, the court held that it was not obtained under a favourable condition as there was conflict of interest arising from the report of Aig-Imokhuede. |

Now let's do some arithmetic based on the data at our disposal shall we: Obj started off at 151.69B and ended up at 188B Increase in subsidy expenditure = 188 - 151.9 = 36.1B Percentage increase = (36.1 * 100)/151.9 = 23% (approx) Period under review : 1year. Taking Obj's last to be Yar'adua's beginning, we have: Increase in subsidy expenditure = 421 - 188 = 233B Percentage increase = (233 * 100)/188 = 123% (approx) Period under review: 2years. Taking Yar'adua's last to be Jonathan's beginning, we have: Increase in subsidy expenditure = 2190 - 421 = 1,769B Percentage increase = (1,769 * 100)/421 = 420% (approx) Period under review: 2years. Now, we are talking about verifiable facts here. Can someone tell me if there was a corresponding increase in the percentage of the consumers of the product to have warranted such geometric rise in expenditure on the product under Jonathan?? What was the percentage increase in our population?? What was the percentage increase in the number of automobiles within the country?? What was the percentage increase in the number fuel powered generators in the country?? Are these figures available?? If they aren't, on what grounds did the government stand when they increased the expenditure to such scandalous levels?? Can someone help us out here?? |
| Re: mODIFIED by Nobody: 11:54am On Nov 11, 2014 |
anonimi:The Court Judgement was based on: 1. The Feb 18 Ruling that said the Police and EFCC can't Prosecute him because the Police was the Investigator in the matter. Not that Ubah was Innocent. 2. It is a Shame that the Federal Government and the Police Did not APPEAL the judgement. They have 200% powers to arrest, investigate and Prosecute 3. Why is Ifeanyi Ubah opting for "A perpetual" injunction if he was innocent? Only criminals follow such route, and only corrupt Judge grants it. Eg Peter Odili 4. If the Government is sincere they would have appealed but NO, they rather "let it slide" afterall it is padi-padi |
| Re: mODIFIED by anonimi: 11:57am On Nov 11, 2014 |
barcanista:- Why did you omit the HoR report? - Do you not have a federal representaTHIEF for your area ![]() - Why can't you petition him, instead of "letting it slide" afterall to you it is not padi-padi, abi? |
| Re: mODIFIED by Nobody: 11:57am On Nov 11, 2014 |
@Omenka, don't forget that Yar Adua brought back the subsidy and reversed the pump price of petrol to 65 Naira from 70 Naira. This means that the Government bore the N5 discrepancy per liter which is a huge sum. WHat is Jonathan's Justification? What was the percentage increase in our population?? What was the percentage increase in the number of automobiles within the country??Nigeria became the largest economy ![]() |

Op, first of all, let me say thank you for bringing up this topic. But before I go on, I would like to know your stand on subsidy removal. Secondly, how was the availability of petroleum products during Obasanjo's era? Apart from lagos and a few states how much was the real price out there? Thirdly, even if the official price was #65, was it readily available? Did the unavailability of petroleum products affected our economy and general output during the said era. Lastly, did the trend continue under Yaradua's government? Please, let us be civil in this discourse so that we will all know where our problems started from and how we can all solve it. |

Obj started off at 151.69B and ended up at 188BNow, let's take this from another perspective shall we: Under Obj (as per period under review) there was an increase in price of petrol by 7.8% (N65 to N70) and the subsidy payments leaped by 23% (which is strange). Under Yar'adua, pump price droped by 7.8% (N70 to N65), which gives a valid explanation for increase in subsidy payments. Regardless, subsidy increased by 123% only. Under Jonathan, the pump price increase by a whooping 49.23% (N65 to N97), yet subsidy payments increased by a gargantuan 420%!!! How on earth can one explain such economics ![]() |
