my friend, the point their is that when the G.5 of the G.7 moved, their was division, but in the case of the speaker, their was no division in the party

so friend let him move, and face the future

I need to be educated. Is the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives supposed to be a PDP position?
Good Question.
The position of the speaker is not PDP position but what our constitution says in section 68(1)g is that Tambuwal has lost his position as a LEGISLATURE.Constitutions is direct about legislatures defection but silent about Gov's defection.
plz get it clear.

Why make it easy for PDP by resigning?? Let them do the politics and get the required vote to remove him...

Who has ever resigned from a position because of honor in Nigeria?? Why must he be the first?? If the Service Chiefs and DG, NSA and Ministers of Defence (senior and junior) and Heads of other security agencies cannot resign out of shame over Boko Haram, then Tambuwal should honorable remain as the Speaker of the House of Reps...

You dont need to use invectives when you know that what I mean by "our constitution" is the 1999 CFRN. I haven't told you that I am agrieved by his defection,I dont have to be,I just want to understand what your opinion is as per the defection. When you said those aggreived needs to provide evidence that there is no crisis in PDP sokoto state, were you implying that if there is crisis in PDP Sokoto state,Mr. Tambuwal can base his defection on that?
Under our constitution, he can defect if there is crisis even in his local government. You join a political party at your ward. Nobody goes to Abuja to join PDP so if there is crisis at ward level even a president can because of that defect since our constitution did not tell us that only crisis at national level can make a party member to defect to another party.

hmmmm. I beg 2 differ. To be qualified for election, you must be a sponsored candidate of such party. A party is registered at INEC as a body corporate. The state nd LG branches are for administrative convenience. Thats why any state wing of a party is cannot be brought to court, you sue the national body which is recognised. So when the CFRN said that ones election is sponsored by a political party, its not talking abt the branch but the whole. If not, then the ward level, state level and national level will be distinct in law. When one is a member of PDP, he cannot say he is a member of PDP sokoto state.
