1. You have a huge list of things you want to do in the next few years, and not even one of them has to do with being in a relationship. In fact, there're so many wonderful things on your list that you don’t even feel the need to prioritize being in a relationship – you’re probably better off not being in a relationship!

2. You’ve been dating the boy, or girl, of your dreams but ended up breaking up with them anyway. Why? Because you just weren’t ready for the type of commitment that a serious relationship would lead to. Although they were perfectly lovely, you knew it would’ve only been a matter of time before they expected more from you. And that ‘more’ is what you couldn’t offer them.

3. Marriage? You’re already married…to your career! People may say this to you in a joking fashion, but the truth is, you really are a lot more dedicated to your career than you could be with another human being – at this stage, anyway! With the long hours and effort you’ve been putting into your job, you don’t even have the time for, or feel the need for a relationship, let alone marriage.

4. Every time you attend someone’s wedding, you find a small group of people who are just like you – they don’t have a partner or are in no rush to tie the knot. You spend the entire reception getting drunk with these people, and you all make fun of those who seem to take weddings very seriously. After the event, you feel refreshed now knowing that you’re not the only one who isn’t ready for marriage. Cheers to that!

5. You can name so many things you love about yourself that have nothing to do with your relationship status. You understand the importance of being truly happy with yourself, and the fact that no other person should define a person’s worth. You think, if only everyone else could feel this way too. Being comfortable in your own skin is way more important to you than “settling down” with another being.

6. Every time you hear that someone you know has got married, you can’t help but suspect a divorce isn’t too far from the horizon. Maybe even some of the couples you know are getting divorces, or going through rough patches. With such high divorce rates these days, you feel as though you’re only being realistic by being so skeptical about the meaning of “happily ever after”

Attimes you are just committed to development and relationship will be distracting and you just avoid it totally or you are in a relationship a girl/guy is taking to the next level w'out you being ready for it !
