I mean i understand ladies bleaching their skin, though i don't support it. I know some ladies feel that some guys in the environment the reside prefer light skinned girls, so they go and bleach to be among the chosen, all in an attempt to get husband. Yes it is the men that choose the wife so, the women can use any possible means to get chosen by men searching for wife.

It is the men that pay the bride price, so why then will a guy bleach? is it for the ladies to choose and marry him or what? I just find it hard to understand.

Please men on NL who bleach or know guys that bleach, please let us know the reason for this thanks.

Whatever a man or woman does to his or her body, is to attract the opposite sex.
If you check very well, you rarely see a rich Nigerian guy bleaching his skin. There's absolutely no need for that nonsense. No matter how ugly a rich guy is, with his money he can get any type of woman he wants.

But those who normally bleach are broke a*ss guys who think they could use good looks to get women. They suffer from inferiority complex. The bleaching at first make the look a bit better while destroying their skin but later you start seeing dark feet and hands, a sign of skin damage.

I have seen so many of them, infact d vehicle i boarded yesterday ehn....was an history, dis guy don bleach to an extent dat, some greenish vain, has started coming out of his skill, and d guy smell die.

Please stay away from bleaching agents, it will ruin your skin permanently and guess what it has no cure!!! U will get black skin close to your eyes and your beard area will be really dark over time u will look discoloured. I use dudu osun and cocoa butter to even my chocolate skin even tho people said i was fair as a young boy and i even saw my photos but that didnt make me start bleaching....instead i said to myself if i was really fair then cocoa butter will bring out my true colour. Proud black man

@Op, Personally, I think this has a lot to do with low self-esteem.

I'm not going to butteress my assertion with lengthy dissections. One who knows his onion have got no reason to do the 'contrary' just to gain respect, love and admiration of some sorts.

I'm dark in complexion, I'm confident, I've got a healthy self-esteem, I have no reason to bleach.
