Nothing is wrong with male nurses...my course mate who was to be operated on his abdomen was not properly shaved around his John Thomas area ånd the hairs were so grown to the abdomen where the operation will reach.. It was a female nurse who was asked to come do the shaving before the start of the operation.. ånd the way she was holding, twisting,ånd rotating that joyystick while shaving as if she dey change motor gear... So if a lady çån do so to a man, what will happen when a man do same to a lady?

Ironically, many people criticizing Male nurses on this thread, will never earn 1/4th what a Male nurse earns...... lol..
That is if most of'em even have a steady paying job.

To me, I always feel that naturally nursing as a profession is for the females. So I don't see any reason as to why men should enter into such profession. It doesn't bring out the real men in them. We fail to understand that God gave women the most special gift of caring and so the females are better off doing such work than the males.

The problem is that many here are viewing the "Nursing" profession from the low-end or "Nigerian" perspective..... i.e nurses are the ones that pack shit, lay beddings, change tubes, pamper etc, while the Docs are the ones who run the actual business of the hospital and then go back to relax in their air-conditioned consulting rooms after surgery.. Forgetting that nursing can actually involve a lot more. Nurses can be first responders in case of emergencies, Nurses are the ones who ACTUALLY treat you after the doctor is done with his part of the case, and can actually put in for doctors a lot of the time- Not to mention that there are "Medical-Nurses"

Often and often i hear people say Nursing as a profession is for the female gender and not fitted for males, i came across a topic online where i saw different critics hauling on male nurses calling them ''murse'' funny name though, and some male nurses often say they are not allowed and often discredited my female patients when they are being assigned to them most especially GYNECOLOGY and . So i want other male nurses to share their ideas and experience so as those intending to become a male nurse someday would learn of the trending difficulties(if theres any) and how to overcome such......Female nurses comment are also welcomed here, lets know how you feel about male nurses.....

My brother thanks 4 this post. I'm proudly a male nurse and I see nothing bad in being a male nurse. Just that this part of the world is backward in their reasoning. I could remember when I told my friends that I wanted to study nursing, most of them wanted me to study some other course because nursing according to them was meant for the female folks.

Nursing is now a lucrative job that people rush to study. Some of my schoolmates in nursing school even came from abroad to study it here in Nigeria because they said that the cost of studying it is higher abroad . In my own set in nursing school we were 12 guys and currently all of us are doing great for ourselves. Some have travelled abroad while some are in Nigeria. Nurses can work anywhere eg. In the hospital, companies, schools,NGOs,military etc.
As a male nurse, u have an upper hand when it comes to employment because some companies and hospitals have found the trick. The reason is that male nurses don't go on maternity leave.

I started working as a clinic nurse after writing my NnM Council exam. it was the pay I got from it that I used to index myself when my result came out and ever since then I've changed 2 jobs..I could remember giving career advice to those students and after their WAEC some of them started pursuing nursing profession seriously.

I tell u that if you know what you are doing as a male nurse,patients/clients will clamour for your services.. You could hardly find a nurse who is jobless not to talk of a male nurse.

Men have started doing Obstetric nursing (midwifery) because the male obstetric doctor and male nurse have thesame thing inbtween their legs. I have a senior colleague who has qualified as an Obstetric nurse and owns a well equipped maternity Hospital in Collaboration with an OnG doctor and a classmate who is currently into the program.

Nursing has so many specialities eg. Psychiatric,Obstetric, burns and plastic, orthopaedic, paediatrics, peri-operative,Anaesthetic,AnE,cardiology,Nephrology etc. It is left 4 u to choose the one you like after obtaining your RN licence.

In synopsis, i will advice any guy who wants to study nursing not to look at what people say but to go and achieve his dream. I could remember I was laughed at when I was into the program but right now some of them who laughed at me now beg money from me.That is the irony of life.

So Op, be proud of your profession because it is not easy to be a nurse. If the person doubts,He or she should go and pick nursing forms..
I'M PROUD TO BE A MALE NURSE!

Am a Male Nurse, based in Kogi, From experience I can only say I face those gender challenges during my schooling days when a female patient says cos you are a male (student) nurse, you can't touch or see them, but when you are out in the real world and u are the only one on duty and. A male nurse, let the patient who doesn't want u to touch her remain there unattended to...and die.. Trust me they have no choice.. I work in female Ward in a hospital in Ayangba...

Like everything else the noise on oil is now too loud. Usually what happens is that individual investors will pile up shorts gunning for $50/b and the price snaps back resulting in Bear trap while demolishing all the stops all the way back.

Price forecast is not science. Cramer is known to talk up or down stocks depending on what side of the trade he is in. Just letting u know. Some folks use him as a contrarian indicator. Lol

crammer was never mentioned in this new Mr. or you're just panicking already.

You just chose to waste "name-call" you should have reserved for a better use @oloshi.

Who said I cannot use any examples I want?

You mentioned CNBC. I drag Cramer name join.

Abi CNBC dey for the original post?

People who cannot maintain a clear line of argument will always choose name-calling as an easy way out.

Thank me later for playing a role your dad should have played in your life.
