chukwudi44:or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored; that was his reason. There was faction in Sokoto State PDP prior to his decampment. It is left for the court to determine whether there was faction or not and not the pdp or executive. They(pdp, executive, police, army etc) have no POWER to declare any seat vacant. It is vested on the Speaker/Senate President and the Court. 17 Likes |

simplyOJ:TAMBUWAL SHOULD BE THE ONE TO GO TO COURTS!!! NOBODY WIL TOLORATE THAT SORT OF IMPUNITY!!!! SECTION 68 1(G) IS SO CLEAR THAT EVEN A PRIMARY ONE PUPIL CAN INTERPRETE IT. ARE YOU SAYING IF THE POLICE CATCHES SOMEONE COMMITTING AN OFFENCE THEY SHOULD GO TO COURT BEFORE EFFECTING AN ARREST? TAMBUWAL IS ACTING IN DEFIANCE OF SECTION 681(G) OF THE 1999 CONSTITUTION AND THOSE PLICE OFFICERS ARE JUST DOING THEIR JOBS 9 Likes |

[quote author=Schematics post=28185565]Tell me what the Law says about the positions of the Senate President and Speaker's position in a presidential system like ours? Why didn't other parties except PDP present their candidates in 2011 for the said position if it is not strictly for the majority party in the House? Some of you are mere teenagers who do not know jack about the system. Please go and read your Mills and Boom.[\quote]. Someone shd please buy the exacutive and pep a primary school government text book and underline the chapter on seperation of powers. Let the people that chose him as speaker vote him out if they please. Let the court declare his seat open if they rule so. Anything else is anarchy. And power play. . And power is after all temporary. Institutions on other hand are to be given support to stand for themselves. Today its tambuwal.tom 15 Likes |
