Tambuwal is trying to pull a fast one here, egged on by APC, knowing fully well that constitutionally, he is no longer a member of the House of Reps. Why do you think APC had the really yesterday? This is simply blackmail...
Now, as to the tear gas and that stuff, i totally disagree with that. Jonathan is going for broke, and it can only get worse before it gets better. If you guys think Jonathan is daft, i feel VERY sorry for you, there are somethings that can not be shared on a public forum like NL...
The bottom line is that after all the cursing and swearing here on NL, it is the average Nigerian that will suffer, because with the National assembly in chaos, it will be difficult to take any decisions to move the nation forward. We should all be crying because all these politicians, both APC and PDP are in it for themselves, not for any of us, not especially for all the internet warriors here on NL.
We should be weeping as a country that in this day and age, the kind of folks were are fighting and campaigning for a people like GEJ, Buhari and Atiku? Have we no shame as a nation? Are these guys the best we can put forward?

All your poor attempt to appear reasonable is punctured by the fact that there is right way of doing things, there is a clear sequence for removing of the speaker, there is process for withdrawing the membership of rep members, regardless of how you or Jonathan ebecil goatluck views this issue, there is a right side and a wrong side! Since the best people in your opinion have not come forward to be elected we will make use of what we have!

(1) At any sitting of the National Assembly -

(a) in the case of the Senate, the President of the Senate shall preside, and in his absence the Deputy President shall preside; and
(b) in the case of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of that House shall preside, and in his absence the Deputy Speaker shall preside.

GEJ should just put on the khaki to show he is finally the Dictator we have been waiting for; he should stop disguising. This is embarrassing for our democracy. Why are our law enforcement officers behaving as animals; quite unprofessional and barbaric. We can never move forward with this type of leadership at the centre. This do-or-die politicking will ruin Nigeria. Posterity will never forgive those who have plunged this country to the abyss of failure # God save Nigeria

Two questions we should ask ourselves are:

1. Is Tambuwal still a member of the HOR going by our Constitution?
2. Is the police allowed to shutdown the national assembly and tear gas members?

In light of (1) and (2)
3. Should illegality be mounted upon illegality by both PDP and APC?

SERIOUSLY HAVE YOU NOT BEEN READING POSTS ON THIS THREAD? ABEG TRY AND GOOGLE SECTION 68 1(G) OF THE 1999 CONSTITUTION.TTHERE IS NO SUBSISTING COURT ORDER AS TAMBUWAL HIMSELF WITHDREW THE CASE.

here is the Plan, the President Wrote the Speaker, the Speaker reconvenes the house. The President orders Security to stop the speaker from entering the house so as to pave way for the Deputy Speaker to Preside. The Deputy Speaker presides and they carry out a Kangaroo impeachment against the Speaker and "elect" a new Speaker. The SeCurity Agencies and the government recognises the New Speaker, and voooom they get their way.

Is he still the speaker of the House? NO

He got Speaker's post because PDP was and is still the majority in the House. Now that he has pitched his tent with APC which has minority in the House, the right thing to do is to relinquish his position immediately he decamped.

I don't know why some people want to create unnecessary attention.
