That's why I advice mailing the graduate office first. For example, on USak websites, they said a 2"1 can apply for Msc. I mailed teh grad office of the department and the grad secretary told me explicitly that if I am from Nigeria and I did not make a 1st class, I should not bother applying.

Different Schools; Different Rules. Different Departments within the same school; Different Rules. But everything looks cool on paper or on the website.

Na so. You said it well sir.

I'm going for a second degree but they wrote "transfer student" in my app, I kept on telling them that I don't want to transfer, I want to start from the beginning, they din't listen, guess that's the reason for the Ietls.
But, if I reapply and put high school instead of uni, won't it be somehow because on my previous app, I put uni
it will be somehow. And that "somehow", is that you will get it this time. Just choose that you left high skool... as in, you have not attended any higher institution....

Goodluck

Village Univ!? Which Uni b dat one o.
Honestly, those MUN AO deserve good beating! They didnt tell me all this before, wouldnt av bothered myself. Now am back to searching for sch, am currently eyeing ontario, have been looking for someone who has gone through same process before, but it seems no one has. Oga @baaleofmontreal I sight u. after 3months waiting on Concordia and spending all my money, they denied me admission saying my cgpa of 3.6 is low for second ug cry

Oh! i'm sorry, thought you applied for graduate studies, with cgpa of 3.6 you should get admission even for a masters if you package your application well. Are you sure they receive all your documents and was uploaded on your profile before the deadline? Really sorry, don't give up, please try again and keep me in the loop this time

I have a question o. A friend of mine who just passed out of Nysc wants to apply for study permit. She got a job before Pop and has resumed consequently. Now she wants to apply for trv. is it better she apply as an unemployed or employed? She planned submitting her application by January and I have seen on this forum once that one must be atleast a year in his/her work place before someone could apply for study leave. Please advice

I will advice the person not to put employment details since she just finish NYSC but she should ensure he have strong home ties to Nigeria ( Just my opinion)

Bonne Chance

I have noticed many people who are resuming in January are travelling before Christmas. Is there any particular reason why? I'm thinking of leaving a day or two before new year so as spend the holidays with family. I'm to resume Jan 8 and I guess I can use those few days to settle down. I stand to be corrected though. Please can someone explain the rush to travel out?

Also, I've been monitoring Toronto weather for the past few days and it is not smiling. Abeg, where in Lagos can someone find coat to buy. I mean real COAT. Thanks.

Oh cool... Thanks. For housing, I have been scouting on kijiji. Seen some cool ones but not yet contacted the owners. They seem to be plenty available at the same cost so I'm not that bothered about that it that much though. I know I am missing something about settling in Canada but I can not just place a finger on it.
