Ever wonder why babies these days are mostly born with their eyes open?

This does not use to be the case years back. U also wonder, for example, in cases of ebola why some people survive and some don't and in cases of HIV/Aids, why some people are symptomatic and some asymptomatic.

Could this be some form of mutation or evolution in human? If it's the later, I really wish human could evolve and start flying.

Doctors in the house, are there any nitty gritty explanation to this?

Before coming they heard of Boko haram, so they've got to open their eyes to see their environment if bh are there so they could return instantly!

Baby born these days are 'over sharp'. They keep vigilant right from the womb and wonder where in the world their mothers would deliver them... they all hope and pray it ain't Nigeria. They worry right from the womb! Go look at babies born in places like USA, UK and Canada. There they are peacefully born with their eyes closed because they hardly worry about anything as long they aren't coming to this part of the world..

OP, you are funny with that your topic. How many nurses and Doctors have u met on nairaland? How do you expect us to know that before babies come with their eyes closed and these days, they come with eyes open??
