PietroRico:I said this three weeks ago. Anyone making a case for Moyes will get a cup full of urine doused on his head. |

StarBoard:There isn't any basis for comparison - this season looks more promising, no doubt. StarBoard:I refuse to blame the following on injuries.... • Our inability to beat Swansea at oldtrafford in our 1st match. • The 4-0 embarrassment at Mk dons • Throwing away a 3-1 lead at lowly Leicester. The injury crises has hampered us..no doubt but it has almost gotten to a point whereby a horrendous miss from RVP or Mata's inability to thread a delightful through pass to Rooney will be blamed on the absence shaw and Rafael due to injuries ![]() StarBoard:Blind, Rooney, di Maria, RVP and mata have all been available to LVG for a good number of our matches. Why then should the issue of momentum come in when we struggle in attack against teams like crystal palace and burnley? Like I said earlier, the most important thing is that we are winning, our position on the log is good and we can only get better. However, I believe this shouldn't negate the need to point out whatever flaws seen or noticed, especially when it comes to tactics and performance. |

Una don scatter my mention for this thread sha. Na so improvement improvement I just dey hear everywhere Under Moyes; P14 W6 D4 L4 22pts Under Van Gaal P14 W7 D4 L3 25pts 3pts difference. What a massive improvement. 150 million pounds worth of improvement ![]() The funny thing is the same guys calling my name left, right, and center are the same ones I quoted bemoaning thier team's terrible play DESPITE the WIN. So the FANS admit that the team isn't playing well even when they win. The table shows out of the 1st 14 games, Van Gaal has only won one more game than Moyes and has the exact same number of draws. So I really to God, cannot see this much vaunted improvement...especially as Van Gaal has a far superior team. |

Nihilist:after 14 games, moyes was 9th on the league table as defending champions & LVG is 4th with a squad ridden with injuries & zero self confidence. 1st to 9th - moyes 7th to 4th - LVG. yet you cannot see the much vaunted improvement, really? how many times has the £150m asset been used together? stop screaming £150m when injuries have hindered the asset to perform. your excuses are lame. ![]() |

StarBoard:You are back to basics, the very issue that gave birth to that long argument. Injuries. I remember vividly the argument was about the too many injuries in the team. While Moyes was blamed for the too many injuries, Gaal was not blamed. Instead the players are being blamed now. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nihilist: 8:30pm On Dec 03, 2014 |
coogar:This is what Dahdemola was saying, you guys just keep blaming injury. Put it this way, LVG points would have only seen Manyoo 6th last season, just as Moyes would also have been 6th this season with his points. Na una dey find my mouth. You guys are benefiting from the flux all around you. Last year City, Liverpool, Chelsea and to an extent Arsenal were firing non stop. This year Chelsea is almost unchallenged, with everyone else slipping and sliding. It says a lot that the 25 points you're celeberating now in 4th place, wouldn't have even gotten you into the top 5 last year. Anyhow sha, season still dey go. Make we dey look. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 8:32pm On Dec 03, 2014 |
Dadehmola:Moyes was never this lucky. Blind Rooney Di Maria RVP Mata Valencia Januzaj 7 quality players have all been available to Gaal. To the extent of having the luxury to bench Mata. We are even benching Falcao even when fit, but Moyes was playing half fit RVP at this time last season. Later he played half fit Rooney in December. Herrera was on the bench for three weeks. I believe In Gaal, but I don't know why it is thought he shouldn't be criticized at all. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 8:37pm On Dec 03, 2014 |
At this time last season, jones was our only fit midfielder. But Gaal had been benching Herrera and Carrick until Bling got injured. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 8:39pm On Dec 03, 2014 |
Nihilist:this is a ridiculous comparison. LVG wouldn't have had 41 injuries last season if he had inherited the defending champions. moyes took over a very good side that stood neck & neck with the almighty madrid & lost narrowly to nani's red card. your analogy should be where would moyes have finished if he had to deal with 41 different injuries in his first 3 months of last season? Na una dey find my mouth. You guys are benefiting from the flux all around you. Last year City, Liverpool, Chelsea and to an extent Arsenal were firing non stop.oh please.... no 2 league seasons are the same. if someone else had taken over liverpool after their impressive showing last season, you would be arguing that new manager is wack. the same manager that took them 2nd last season is misfiring now. look at wenger too - from winning 2 titles in 3 seasons to giving arsënal their worst start in 50 years this season. if someone else had taken over from him last season, he would have been the scapegoat. if the same manager can produce 2 polarising performances, why then did you prematurely blame LVG from the woes he inherited from moyes? This year Chelsea is almost unchallenged, with everyone else slipping and sliding.what has this gotta do with anything? It says a lot that the 25 points you're celeberating now in 4th place, wouldn't have even gotten you into the top 5 last year.if moyes had this injury woe last season, we woulda relegated. if moyes had inherited a team that finished 7th, with no european competition, we woulda relegated. moyes inherited the league champions. you keep forgetting the psychological bit. how did league champions crash all the way to 7th position? how?? |

MrTA:especially arsenal/soton game... a boring goalless draw would do me just fine. city should draw theirs too. i don't really care about chelsea's result. |

this is nicely poised now.... if we beat southampton, we go 3rd! i hope rooney, jones, di maria & shaw can see the table and digest how important the game on monday is. |

Dadehmola:So why then are we having this argument? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 2:30am On Dec 04, 2014 |
elampiro:Did Moyes have to play Blackett and McNair or Blind and Carrick at CB? Moyes didnt have his injury crisis half as bad as van Gaal. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 5:58am On Dec 04, 2014 |
StarBoard:I thought Moyes played a certain Kean? The same Kean McNair and Blacket took out of the team. Moyes played Carrick at CB. You have forgotten? Blind at CB is not a minus. He's a world cup defender. His experience is enough to help him adjust in defence. As for the injuries? Are you saying Gaal is running an ISIS camp? Lol . On a more serious note, at this time last season, Rooney, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael, Cleverley, Nani, Young, RVP, Fabio, Welbeck, Fletcher, were already injured missing lots of matches. May be Carrick sef. Only DDG, Evra, Buttner and Januzaj managed to stay fit. Gaal may have had 41 injuries, but he always had quality to fall back on. |

elampiro:Please enlighten me. How many games did Keane Play? As for the injuries, they occur mostly in games and international duty. I've not heard anyone complain about van Gaal's methods in training. van Persie, Rio and a number of players were very vocal in their displeasure of Moyes' methods of training (I heard included frog jump) I still insist that the injuries last year were not as enormous as this. |

Manchester United winger Nani has been nominated for Sporting Lisbon’s Footballer of the Year award, after only playing 15 matches since returning back to his old club on a season long loan. |
