USA should stop policing the world and focus on their debt crisis. The sad truth, is nobody want nothing for nothing.

How?
The nation has to survive 1st. Further training can come later.
Or would you rather have military hardware currently used against insurgents withdrawn to use for training when the soldiers need them presently for the ongoing battle?

US is a great suspect indeed. How can she request weapons to be withdrawn from the battlefront to be used for training? Very suspicious, don't you think so? Why did US not take the training to the battle front for live experience?
Meanwhile, US has refused to sell weapons to Nigeria all this while. The US is a wayo friend. Nigeria should be careful with her.

I'm surrounded by clueless twits on NL.

Perhaps the US wants Nigerian Army to remove those weapons that they use to maim and kill ordinary civilians and show them how to properly use them on actual enemies instead.

so this people think we are this gullible?
so all the military hardware that this country have is in the north fighting Boko Haram, yet we are struggling to win.
Are we saying if Nigeria is attacked from South now, we will need to withdraw military hardware from north, to defend from South?
I don't even understand, what military hardware are we currently using on book haram that is needed for the training? AK 47? Tanks? RPG? jet fighter? what else? This is all we have? is this what they want to train the military on? In a sane country, this kind of statement will have consequence.

Exactly my bro... A lot of Nigerians are gullible enough to believe this piece of trash.
That explains why these politicians will always play a fast one on them.

What kind of training would require a nation at war,to pull out equipments used in protecting human lives from the war front? I've always said this;America has a big hand in this boko haram crisis cos their body language and the way they have related with us on this insurgency issue, gives them away. So,until you pull out equipments from the battle front, the soldiers cannot be trained? Smh.
So you believe this yarns? You are engaged in a war and you are asked to withdraw equipment and personnel for training? I you believe it,you can believe anything.

I'm not even sure what to opt for again.
The military equipment in the battle field, and an ill equipped army handling bokoharam.
Or withdrawing the equipment for a while, to return with an army better at handling the insurgency undecided

Who do you expect me to believe? The Americans or the FGN? Maybe when you read and learn about some of the attrocities America has committed globally(behind doors),you'll learn to appreciate your own. A senior retired CIA official once wrote an article about how America funded a terrorist group(taliban) against the Afghan govt and Russian forces and that was how the monster,Osama Bin Laden was created. They did the funding secretely. Ever since I read his article,I stopped trusting the US. They've succeeded in destroying Libya too. You guys who believe every thing you hear from CNN,should better start wisening up. America is not your friend. The way and manner they handled the ebola crisis, when it hit Nigeria, should also tell you, that they mean nothing good for you. I'm very sure they weren't expecting us to navigate out of that crisis. I used to love America so much until I started doing my own little research and learning on the US foreign policies. Nobody can tell your story better than you.

This is the most foolish thing i have read in a while. Nigeria is fighting just in 3 states out of 36 states and we dont have enough equipment to train our soldiers? What happens in a full blown war. This government is a huge joke.

Brainless cyber-pawn. Can you not just reason for once?

Does being in the opposition makes the brain so dull? I have noticed this is a common factor amongst the jobless APC cyberpawns. My advise: get a functioning brain!

America wants to use our hard-bought Russian-made military equipments to train our men. Isn't it laughable. Fortunately for us, that part of the training has been conducted by Russia and our other more-trustworthy allies.

I am happy the Nigerian Military quickly realized they want to spy on Russian equipments through us - we can't afford to lose Russia at this moment, they are our more dependable ally in this time of war; they stood by us.

Apart from Sani Abacha, clueless and ball-less GEJ is the only Nigerian president that has stood up against usa's excesses.

Yourself and usa can go and swim in majidun river.

Some moronic comments in here as usual. For a country facing security issues, if the needed equipment for training, as the Nigerian government stated (if you believe that in the first place, well, God help you), are all positioned in the field, that brings more questions than answers. First among them, there is apparently not enough of the equipment, why should that be? The mysterious equipment in question is no doubt essential in the war against the insurgents and we do not have enough of it? In the event that the operators of the said equipment get killed in action where do we get new operators when there aren't even enough of it to train with.

Some dimwits would suggest why the US wouldn't help us with some of theirs. Why would they, the US, just like any other country, is in for the business. Why would they give out expensive military technology for free especially to a country known for human right violation. They owe us nothing and they have no obligation to help us.

Only a Western African nation with poor sense of history would even trust America with her internal security at any level.

America's involvement in any internal conflict is akin to jumping into bed with a prostitute that wouldn't hesitate to stab you to death while you were asleep if her interest changes.
