na ferguson - scottish solidarity!
everton's paper-thin squad & yet they cop an average of 50 injuries per year when moyes was there. if i cut it into seasons(july-may) then the stats would be touching 60-70 injuries per season. grin
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 8:16pm On Dec 04, 2014
Coogar, this means Moyes had only 18 injuries every 14 matches. Gaal had 42 in 14 matches.

You also have not compared Moyes with Man United and other teams season by season. We may also need length of injuries as I see some trivial issues as 'virus' on your list.

So Moyes brought his bad luck to United indeed. just like I speculated. Now he has taken his ogbanje soirit to Sociedad.

how did you come about these numbers? we keep asking you the single-most important question & you keep evading them....why did moyes sack fergie's backroom staff that brought the resurgence of our clean bill of health in 2012/13?

van gaal inherited moyes' quacks in the medical facility. some of them are still there, inexperienced, clueless, wet behind their ears, etc. van gaal is still working with some of the bastärds moyes brought from goodison park - the experienced ones fergie retained for years were sacked by moyes!

how many players played for everton in those days? how can you compare a thin squad like everton to man utd that played in 4 competitions or sometimes 5 under ferguson??

moyes & bad luck are siamese twins cojoined in the hip. moyes left & van persie is back to full fitness - no more niggling injuries like he was dropping every 2-3 games last season.

So how come he didn't have 42 injuries in 14 matches? If his style were bad, he would have 100 injuries in 14 matches considering the years he carried out his 'terrorist' style training on his boys.

Gaal should take responsibility for our 42 injuries in 14 matches.

There can only be 38 league matches in a year. When 53 injuries is prorated to 14 matches, you get 18 injuries from Moyes.

Yet Gaal has 42 already in 14 matches.

the 42 injuries isn't in 14 matches - it dates back to July when van gaal was appointed. all those injuries during preseason were counted as part of it!

the 42 injuries statistic was counted since van gaal was appointed in may. van gaal didn't join united until after the world cup in late july.

how is van gaal responsible for the injuries copped by united players while he was in brazil managing the holland team? have you eaten today? grin

All these were still under Gaal during preseason. Only RVP, Carrick and Ando appeared to have injured outside Gaal's camp.

Not correct at all.

Luke Shaw
Welbeck
Evans
Smalling
Rafael
Valencia
Wilson all got injured playing friendly cup in USA for Gaal.

Only Carrick (and may be Anderson) injured themselves before the camp in USA.

Even if we were to accept your report, Moyes usually had an average of 18 injuries in 14 league matches. So why does Gaal have 30-40? Moyes has nothing to do with this. at all.

it was moyes that sacked the experienced para-medics SAF put in place for the new medical facility in carrington. moyes is to blame 100% for our injury woes. LVG wouldn't have sacked any of them if we had hired the dutchman after fergie left.

fergie(october 2012)
"This is a great partnership because it is something new, something
different,

We made a couple of signings in the summer but this is a big signing, perhaps the most important step forward this club has taken in a long, long time.

Sometimes supporters won't see that, the public won't see that, but we'll see it and the players will really appreciate it.

We've been building the medical centre for quite a time now, for about six months.

But we're getting there and this partnership with Toshiba will add to it with their medical systems bringing a new dimension to sports science and medical treatment for our players.

It will put us above most clubs in the world. We already have a fantastic medical staff and they will relish the challenge of working with Toshiba medical systems."

My point is, Moyes managed Everton well. The spate of injury at Everton has always been low. I am sure Martinez enjoyed a healthy squad. Look at Distin still going at 36.

Moyes injury numbers were very okay. There is no need to belabor this.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 11:05pm On Dec 04, 2014
I don't seem to get you on the medical aspect. Are you trying to say Moyes cancelled the medical arrangement and closed the facility? Or he chased away the sponsors and doctors?

Is this same medical facility not available to Gaal? It shouldn't really come into this argument.

moyes sacked the experienced hands that knew our players inside out. these guys have been working with rio & vidic for about 6 seasons & they knew how to do their physical conditioning to get the best out of them.

moyes sacked all these people, brought his dullard inexperienced folks from goodison park cos he wanted to do it his own way. you cannot copy years of experience - moyes ruined united!

[b]I beg jor. Let Gaal take full responsibility for this season's injuries. Moyes handed over a healthy team to Giggs, bar Rooney who eneded the season injured. However, he was fit to start with Gaal.

Come to think of this:
New signing.
1. Falcao was playing Monaco but has been injured 2-3 times under Gaal.
2. Herrera was fit for Athletic but has been injured twice. I think one was in training
3. Rojo fell on his own during a match. I don't have his injury history.
4. Blind got injured on international duty. But it has to count against Gaal as it is the tradition.
5. Shaw played full 35 matches for Southampton last season but Gaal declared him unfit. And so the prophecy followed him. He has rarely been fit.
6. Di Maria came here fit. But he is already injured.

You can blame the above on Moyes. Gaal could not even manage any one of our 6 signings to be fit for just 10 matches. The average appearance of these players is 7 matches yet look at the injuries. I can't remember any of these players taking a serious kick from opponents.

The Coogar-Super-Logic explains that when a fly dies in Carrington, you blame it on David Moyes cheesy

Mate that's a good observation you've got up there jare.

If only Moyes would travel back to East Dunbartonshire and go pray his ''In My Defens God Me Defend'', observe a one week dry fasting and refuse anything sex within the period.

- is it that you don't remember that Falcao was not purchased outrightly because of the kind of injury he suffered? had Vidal arrived & had some recurring issues like he's had these past few months, you'll say LvG has not managed him well?

- Herrera's injury happened on the pitch & it was a kick to his ribs, he rushed back for the next game & matters got worse

- Rojo has always been a tough lad, he looks calm but is hardly bullied. a dislocated shoulder happened on the pitch, wetin coach wan do about am?? he back already ahead of schedule, same cannot be said with most of LvG's inherited defenders

- Blind's injury away on nternationals is part of the game, & it was a kinda nasty bruise. body no get metal endoskeleton

- Shaw himself admitted the fact, his manager in the English national team said the same thing! 3-0 in favor of "unfit" is flawless

- di Maria has been kicked around a lot in the league, remember he couldn't even complete his first few games

most of these guys also need some settling down time in a new league/environment. infact, the only guy who has taken to hostilities like it was nothing is Daley Blind.

a whole new group, a whole new management. in a sane world, such drastic changes are given a year before any sort of reckless expectations.

This is the most illogical post I have seen from you since I joined this thread. It doesn't connect with the argument on ground. The argument on ground is that Moyes is blamed for the outrageous injuries at Man United. I just brought out two logics:

First, Moyes team has a record of 18 injuries in 14 matches. Gaal has 42 in 14 matches.

Second, all our new signings are now injured and non was trained by Moyes. They have only played 7 matches on the average.

Where were you when Moyes was being blamed for DDG broken finger for Spain? When Moyes was being blamed for Jones his injury for three lions. When Moyes was blamed for Lingaard injury against Swansea? When Moyes was blamed for supposed Rooney's injury against Hull.

More:
Welbeck was against Roma in USA (I think)
Valencia was against a certain opposition in USA
Evans was also in USA
Young was in a league match.

Can't you see Gaal style is responsible for virtually our 42 injuries (43 if Rooney is added). What has Moyes got to do with these injuries? The fact that our new signings have had injuries (multiple injuries for that matter) exonerates Moyes completely. I reiterate, I don't remember any serious kicks to these guys. Herrera, Rojo, Shaw, Blind don't have history of injuries to best of my knowledge.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 7:51am On Dec 05, 2014
Na wao! So SailorXY join dey blame DDG injury on Moyes? Many injuries this season have come from training ground. Even the new signings had no or little contact from opponents and they got injured just like that.

I don't buy into those yeye excuses about Shaw, Falcao, Herrera, Di Maria, Blind and Rojo.

No one excused Moyes last season for injuries to our injury prone players like Nani, Young, Rafael, Jones, Evans, Smalling, Fabio, Anderson, Cleverley, Fletcher.

Double standard.

Luke Shaw started 35 league matches last season. Blame his injury on Moyes.
Herrera has had two injuries already. blame it on Moyes.
Falcao about 2-3 injuries. Blame it on Moyes
Blind injured. Blame it on Moyes.
Di Maria is injured. Blame it on Moyes.
Rojo fell down on his own and injured his shoulder. Blame it on Moyes.
Blackett injured. Blame it on Moyes.
DDG broke his finger. Blame it on Moyes.
Rafael getting injured as usual. Blame it on Moyes.
Rooney went into a hard ball against Hull. Blame it on Moyes.
Lingaard inexperience got him seriously injured blame it on Moyes.
Evans, Welbeclk, Valencia, injured in competitive preseason. Blame it on Moyes.
Young got kicked in a league match. Blame it on Moyes.

RVP stays fit. Praise Gaal
Rooney stays fit. Praise Gaal

Abeg, I can't see any of our 42 injuries that can be traced to Moyes. If Moyes was blamed for injuries to players under him, irrespective of whether the players were previously renowned for chronic injuries, or whether they were injured on international duties, or whether they were injured in training, or got injured during club matches, or injured in preseason, or injured before preseason, this same measure of blame should be apportioned to Van Gaal.
Before Moyes resumed Man United training in 2013, Rooney, Valencia, Nani, were already injured. Moyes only had mostly young forwards to take to preseason. No one ever mentioned that. All that we here now is Shaw was not fit.

I think I have heard various lamentations from LvG himself about how baffled & concerned he is on the injuries piling up on the team, but I haven't read where he blamed Moyes as the root cause (maybe you can show me a link)

he has been trying to put measures in place by changing the training turf @ Carrington & all the other whatnots, so what exactly is your gripe with his methods? he has made it clear that the minimum requirement for any of his playing staff is to fit & to be at the level of fitness he desires, there's a certain level of hard work that the player must be in.

now, we all noticed the apparent laziness in the squad even towards the tail end of SAF regime, players unable/unwilling to press the opponents till the ball is almost in our box. when you saw the energy in the style of lower teams like Dortmund & Celtic, you just realise that maybe its time we get new players.

when Moyes came in, I expected the energy levels to rise. new manager; surely the lads want to prove they deserve to be in the team, I didn't see nothing of the like. the game I remember good pressing from the front was when we mauled Leverkusen, and two or three games in the league but it was far from consistent.

what started to filter out of camp suddenly was discontent among the thoroughly united group, how Moyes sacked anyone that didn't greet him in the morning or looked at his daughter twice. I mean, it was just like a wrecking ball & all bullshyte. if it had been coupled with results, oh well but no! we moved from flawless victory to seventh position, the dynasty was annihilated in months pffft.

NOW AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED, THIS INJURY BLAME OR NO BLAME IS NOT WORTH DISCUSSING & IM NOT INTERESTED, WHAT IM POINTING OUT IS THAT THERES NO CASE FOR MOYES; WHETHER THAT GORES YOUR OX IS NON OF MY BLUES

Your first paragraph has ended the argument. Go and read Coogar's post blaming Moyes for our injury woes tthis season. May be you should always read trail of argument before you respond.
