Actually far from it....i perceived it is a colonial reference....The Black wedding is the traditional marriage which is the proper before the advent of the colonial masters...to make their culture relevant is imposing their own style now called "WHITE WEDDING"- meaning the marriage of the white people, not blacks...it has nothing to do with purity or being a maiden. It is the marriage of the Whites (style) and how they do their thing.

Yeah... Possibly so, but we can't be absolutely sure that their brides don't wear white. Summarily I think if we actually esteemed marriage for what it was meant to be and do, we won't even be having this discussion on whether or not white wedding gowns means this or that.
