Na u sabi!
My unflinching support goes to Ambode anyway.
I like his profile.
The guy is highly cerebral compared to the clueless ones.

It is being said that one of the true measure of a good leader is through his/her successor. This singular measure rubbished Obasanjo's achievement as a great leader not once but twice!

Take it or live it; Tinubu was able to resuscitate and sustain the foundation of development as laid by Awolowo in southwest region. He tread where others dread! He choosed to remain in opposition even as almost a lone fighter in AD/AC. The strong opposition we have in the country today can be attributed to his political sagacity. His doggedness is paying off as he sets to control d center.

Fine, he has been severally accused of greedily amassing wealth even though he was very wealthy before his foray into politics as he was one of the major financiers of NADECO then. By and large, he has been able to use the wealth to install credible people at the helm of affairs in this country. People like Mamora, Gbajabiamila, Fashola, Aregbesola, Fayemi, Hamzat, Opeyemi Bamidele and a host of others were made by him.

No doubt, Fashola is a very sound administrator and Lagos has been greatly blessed by his tenures. He should rather tread softly as he is never a political leader in Lagos. He is most likely to go into political oblivion if care is not taken. I trust Tinubu's judgment on the choice of Ambode as the next governor of Lagos state. We should rather support him as he happens to be the only true political leader in southwest at least for now.

The problem between Fashola and Tinubu could be bigger than first thought.
For Tinubu to issue a rebuttal shows the infighting is at an advanced stage. The way Tinubu relegated Fashola to second class citizen regarding who surfaces as Fashola's replacement is disheartening for those who want Fashola's legacy to continue.

our concern should be: was there a primary election? Was it transparent? Polítical base is very critical to winning any primary election

When it concerns Tinubu and righteous fashola, the media is escalating the issue. When it concerns GEJ, the media is right.
Anyway what matters is that he didn't deny the fact that Fashola had a different candidate from him which automatically means political difference which will definitely lead to political war anywhere in the world except one of the party involved decides to withdraw for peace to reign. So far Fashola hasn't congratualted Ambode, which means he hasn't given up yet. I hope they settle soon, afterall its just politics but I think fashola should be allowed to choose his successor atleast. They should stop giving us this cock and bull story about peace between them.

What do you mean by install. Then why do you vote. Why do you wait for a man like you to be installing while all you do is follow. Please don't equate stability with progress or quiet with comfort. Cote'd Ivorie under Houphet Boigny was an oasis of 'stability' and 'progress' then he died and....

Much as he has raised an opposition empire the democratic benefits accrue to other parts of Nigeria which are flexing and building political muscles. The south-west and Lagos in particular is in political kindergarten. No debates, no elections, no pair reviews, nothing. Just wait till Tinubu is gone. He's taken the APC this far. The smart money should be on building institutions that can endure.

Reading further. Yes a good leader should produce a good successor but who is the 'leader' in Lagos. Should Fashola not have been given the task of 'selecting' his successor. Why is his judgement in this case under question. Simple, Fashola is not quality enough to take top top decisions. It is like saying grandpa gave birth and raised me and then wants to sire my kids as well. You may have Obama chipping a word for Hlllary Clinton but Jimmy Carter, now that's a laugh.

I always knew they were cool with each other.
Tinubu and Fashola's relationship is like a father/son thing. They both have genuine love for each other. I was more convinced of this when I saw a picture of a very warm embrace they shared when Arege won Osun elections. Their body languages went beyond politics. They may feel like strangling each other sometimes, but NEVER in public. They wash their dirty linens btw themselves.

Sorry to disappoint those who are expecting these two intellectualls to fight dirty for their entertainment.
