My gf says she wants to rent an apartment to stay alone in order to look for a job. I asked her what s wrong with staying with your aunty and be luking for a job from her house? she said she wants her freedom. And am not in Nigeria presently! i dont knw wat to do again. I do not really buy the a idea of a single lady staying alone and looking for a job. it s dangerous. Should i give her the go ahead? or should i not? I dey confuse!!!!! |

Haba! This is 2014 not 1990...a decent girl will always be decent no matter where she finds herself. There's nothing like freedom especially if the money is available maybe she's not comfortable staying with her and you know all these people can be funny once you are staying with them. Back to the question. ....she doesn't need to rent a house just to look for a job. How will she feed? I think she should just stay with the said person for like one week then use that period to submit her CV to different offices pending when shes called for an interview. She can also look for a cheap hotel and stay for like 2 days and submit her CV then go back to her base. 1 Like |

Thanks for the advice, but, i am of the opinion that she should stay with the person and be looking for a job from there. When she gets, she can then get her personal place. Not staying alone without a job. Anything can happen. ammyluv2002: |

Op, what exactly are you scared of? If you support staying alone after getting the job, why against it now? Not like she's asking you to be paying the rent, so let her indulge herself. |
