For documents with seal and other security features, lamination impairs your ability to verify these features.

na which kind lamination una dey talk about? because d 1ce i knw are very removeable. It's only d edges of d paper dt is sealed. It's better to scan before u laminate, it looks better and more original when u print it out.

In Nigeria here, there's no legislation restraining lamination of certificates
1. but if per adventure you need to tender a laminated certificate in court, it becomes a major problem;
2. if the issuer wants to verify the certificate through the security features on it it may become impossible to do that as the process of laminating may have impacted on those security features; and
3. some foreign missions in Nigeria may not accept laminated certificates.

I don't know what you was told when you obtained your Certificate from school... But I remember we was told strictly not to laminate our certificate.

issue of laminating certificates,especially those that
have had the opportunity of travelling abroad.Some
say lamination of certificate is the best option to
preserve it because any slight alteration renders it
useless and valueless and you know it's not easy
to get another once it is altered.

While some say
many foreign establishments and even embassy
reject laminated certificate.

Please what are your
views on it?

Any certificate with a seal shouldn't be laminated because the seal is destroyed and can not be scanned if you intend travelling abroad and using it.

I wonder why my own certificate is still very useful in this 21st century. It must be filled with divine anointing for Exellence.
