Madness is synonymous to uncleanness..

Compared to normal people, I have noticed that mad people have stronger immunity

It's either they are picking up one rubbish here or there, question is; how come they don't fall sick huh

Because I believe if normal individuals were to be exposed to such kinds of germs on a daily basis, it will take the grace of God for one to survive it !

Back to topic, ideas & opinions are welcome...

Something to do with adaptation to survive. Referring to mutation would be a step too far. I think their mental state induces some form of carelessness/lethargy, even when they are terribly ill. It is common place to see them stop somewhere suddenly to die in a space of few hours.

I'll also like to indicate that it's rare for a person to be 100% healthy.

At one point or the other, there are foreign substances in the body which are being detoxified or weakened by the immune system.

Adaptation? I don't agree with that that 'll mean you are saying there is a level at which we get exposed to antigens that our antibodies becomes friendly with them.. Lets not just go into that
however, i quite agree with you on d issue of carelessness, reminds me of 'old solja'! One madman like that, though he is late now
he had elephantitis on his right leg, the leg grew worse to the point of rot but could you believ he cared nonetheless about it as he was always playful and elated
so, I'm thinking..could there possibly be a link between insanity and higher dopamine levels in the brain that makes this mad people ever in a state of euphoria because that's the only thing that explains this mans carefree attitude towards his health

It further goes to prove that sickness is more spiritual than medical. When a man is mad he already has a spirit inflicting him with such sickness. He hosts such. That's why, for Christians, you noticed Jesus when healing always addressed the spirit inflicting the person.

So a mad man is already being inflicted by a spirit of infirmity. And that spirit will always want to keep its host alive and so prevents terminal illnesses, else the spirit will begin to roam looking for another to possess.

Like people who eat out of garbage cans or eat their own feces. Their bodies are used to it. They have built up a strong immune system. They CAN still get sick if they eat something very toxic.
So it simply because they are MAD
