Rat is a good source of protein.At the peak of the Nigerian/Biafran war,people were encouraged to eat rat . It cures kwashiokwor.So no cause for alarm.
I can give a recipe for a nice delicacy called Ratdahiskawa.Its very popular in Sambisa forest.

Rat incisors are highly specialized for gnawing. They are open-rooted, which means they grow throughout life. Ergo, if the rat doesn't get a chance to gnaw on stuff the teeth overgrows and can even puncture the brain leading to death. This explains why rats are so destructive. they chew on any and everything.
