Delivering the ruling, the CJN, accused Ardo of inviting the Supreme Court to arrest a proceeding pending before the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.

So there is still a pending case before the Court of Appeal. I hope those ones don't fix their judgment for after the elections. undecided

2015 election is already won and lost. An incumbent president will never loss an election in this present country whether he's a PDP or APC candidate.
Actually, what I'm waiting for is the people crying foul and going to court.

..........Word for adults.

I hope the Supreme Court also "awards" cost to these people wasting government time

Get them to pay legal cost of the President, Supreme Court charges and his/her own bills as well!!

This is how they do it here in France!

you are a fool, do you expect the court to disqualify him? On what grounds? That he has taken an oath twice now makes him disqualified?
It clearly shows how desperate the yeye APC and their stuupiid goons are. Hungry aspirants looking for where to loot money. Let APC come out and contest it now or even mention that the court took money from GEJ. Useless APC members and their criminals, deceiving lying leaders and presidential aspirant.

It shows that you all are fuhc-king fufus who think with their behind. I pity the kind of people that will be led by this ignorant mofos called APC.

Whoever gave them the insight that they will win the case have legally defrauded them by encouraging them to run to court.

If you don't know anything, know it now. GEJ's first oath of office was circumstantial because his boss dies while in office. It was not a substantive oath taking which was effected after being duly elected through an electoral process. His first substantial oath taking was ushered in after he won the 2011 elections.
you all are pathetic just like your baboon general and his followers to expect that the court will grant your request.

I know every Southerner advocating Bokoari come back as presido do not belong to any of the families that were murdered and have forcefully return back to South before and after Buhari lost in the last elections.
Buhari approved of the Killings and you are here barking to egg-on that dreaded destructive Inferno.

That's why I know NLers can't read, including the mod who retitled this thread.

The actual case was not dismissed. Only the case by a PDP chief to join the existing suit.

"A five-man panel of Justices of the
apex court presided over by the Chief
Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice
Mahmud Mohammed, struck out the
appeal which was filed before it by a
Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, from Adamawa State, Dr.
Umar Ardo.

Delivering the ruling, the CJN,
accused Ardo of inviting the Supreme
Court to arrest a proceeding pending
before the Abuja Division of the Court
of Appeal.

He noted that the substantive suit
challenging Jonathan’s eligibility
is currently before the appellate
court, stressing that Ardo lacked the
locus-standi to move the apex court
to either take over hearing on the
matter or compel the appeal court to
join him as an interested party in the
pending appeal."

I think its you who aint doing the reading, that initial suit tell us what its all about? same legality of GEJ qualifying to run for the 2015 election right? Now take a look at it, does this need to go to court or are U in support of the school saying he cant run again? take note he has been voted just once not twice and the constitution clearly specifies this. These are people wasting govt time and resources. The courts are delying to see if there is anyway out howver the PDP chieftain tried his luck to see if its possible.

Not only can you not read, but you can't write either. The case was struck down because one is already in progress. Do you know what substantive means?

Haba, when I said you not doing the reading,I meant the who legality suit concerning this issue.issue. Im saying this whole exercise is to create distraction for GEJ come 2015,its a tactical move cos we all know he is eligible %200.If you read the initial suite filed, you will realize it lacks merit,I don't even know why it aint been dismissed yet.

This is the section of the constitution that disqualifies him:

(2) Subject to the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, the President shall vacate his office at the expiration of a period of four years commencing from the date, when -

135.2 (a) and (b)
(a) in the case of a person first elected as President under this Constitution, he took the Oath of Allegiance and the oath of office; and

(b) in any other case, the person last elected to that office under this Constitution took the Oath of Allegiance and oath of office or would, but for his death, have taken such Oaths.

He was sworn in as President twice. The limit is two terms. The reason why GEJ delayed declaring until the last possible second, until INEC literally had to give him a deadline, was to avoid this suit. It couldn't be filed until he declared because it would have been considered speculative.

Yes you got the rite bit but take not of (B) he has not been elected twice, he has only once been,it was circumstances(Death of his Boss) that allowed him to take Oath .
This is where I said their handlers had legally defrauded them.
